Milner was pretty good yesterday, some of his crosses were giving Barca some trouble, Valdes had to produce a world class save to stop Dzeko scoring

Milner's awesome. The fact he runs a lot shouldn't detract from the fact he's actually really talented and looks a threat going forward.

What was supposedly good about Milner's performance last night?

I really can't understand it, yes, he put in a good cross for Dzeko (the only cross he completed all game if memory serves) yes he made a few tackles, he made a hash of a far simpler chance than he made it look, fucked up any pass that was remotely close to being expansive and fell on his arse when he tried to do anything other than run in a straight line.

Yes, compared to Lescott, and to an extent, Kolorov, he looked like a world beater but it was thoroughly uninspiring, and you're deluding yourself if you think that he's got any place on the wings of a team thats aspiring to be amongst the best in Europe. He's thoroughly out of place on this stage.

What an absolute fucking cunt Jorge Jesus is. I hope Benfica get raped in the next leg just to see that cunt devastated.

EDIT: wrong thread, but oh well.

There was one Gala fan who all game faced away from the pitch. Occasionally he managed to stand on the barrier without the stewards seeing. Why would you fly all this way to not watch the game

Roy Carroll loves sticking the boot in doesn't he?

It's as if he was a good goalkeeper at any point in his career.

I swear Hazard is one of the most majestic players to watch when he's on song.

Was also touching to see the reception Drogba got upon his return, what a man.

I think he might be trying to get sacked.

Thought Fellaini was playing well atm?

Moyes seems to have seriously lost the plot.

“We have to try to control the game before we attempt to score a goal ... We’re capable of scoring twice in the last ten minutes if we have to, but of course we’d like to score one before that ... We’re going to try to score an early goal.”

WHAT?!

There were a few of them, their job's to coordinate and lead the chants and no doubt they'll do the same week in, week out in the league. I'm sure they see missing most of the game as being part of the role they played. I can't be bothered looking it up bit either In Bed With Maradona or The Blizzard had an interview with a Dortmund fan who led their chants.

Edit: pretty sure it was IBWM now I think about it, may have been in the Subculture section...

Olympiacos have been stupidly open. No need for them to have played that way.
