Did 102km today. My biggest solo ride + quickest over that kind of distance! Tailwind home for the last 35 odd km so I put the boot down and really suffered but in a good way! Best segment was averaging 38.3 km/h for 8.8km with an average of 209 watts. May sound if I'm boasting but really really happy.

All the details below:

My garmin computer says I burnt 3,255 calories but strava says otherwise :/

Also, has anyone seen how skinny + ripped Chris Froome's lefs are?!?

Decent ride mate, good average speed. Is it flat there?

I should stop coming in this thread. It makes me look really bad with my lack of fitness

Tis indeed. But I'd a tailwind home. So it was worth the visit.

Aye, Galway is really flat. Should have gone to uni in Dublin so I'd have the Dublin mountains to play with. Pisses me off cos where I live in Kerry its all hills I have, so can't wait to go home in a few weeks for the summer and test myself on them again.

Yeah but Dublin actually has cars rather than horse and carts

Thinking of doing the Yorkshire three peaks challenge in the summer, 25 mile walk up Whernside (736m/2,415ft), Ingleborough (723m/2,372 ft) and Pen-y-ghent (694m/2,277ft). gonna be a bastard on my dodgy knee but still looking forward to it. I did Whernside along the way on my big walk last year which was pretty beautiful once we got to the top.

Probably the best place to mention this seeing as a few of you are into Cycling. I spent the day at a race on Sunday with the Rapha-Condor-JLT team as their photographer, anyway ive just put up the photos so take a look if you like

Ta Carroll Just had an email from Tom and it looks like they're going to do a write up on the teams website and on the Rapha site as well. Was great to meet Ed Clancy as well, wouldn't know they guy was a multiple olympic champion, really down to earth.

Ah nice, i just planned out the first few days of the Tour last night. Going to be a ton of driving! Already booked the hotel and everything for Paris as well.

My photos were published on the teams website last week and on the Rapha website itself, so its been a pretty good week all in all Only bad thing is ive not had time to get out on the bike

Did a Cat 4 race yesterday, almost went down twice on a tight course. Gap opened on last lap though and grabbed 9th

Those races are riddled with crashes I'd say

I was very close to two, no idea how I stayed up. The circuit was super tight, with like 40 riders trying to move up every lap

Went down last night in the last 200m, easily 30mph plus. Some guy died infront and pulled out as I was going round. Smashed my helmet and fucked my wheel up

First ride out today in over 6 weeks, weirdly felt stronger than i have done for a long long time despite having not been out for ages. Weather was top as well, just about saved myself from burning

Couldn't help but take a photo of this view

Ended up going buying a Scott Addict 20 in the end, hopefully it comes before the end of the week. One of the lightest frames in production and has a compact groupset so should come in handy when i'm rinding Pen-y-Pass in September

I did that, pulled a muscle in the second month though and not really got back on it.
