Who wears shinpads at 5-a-side? Only fags and people who are there to break legs.

You left out extremely shit players who want to feel professional. Some lad was wearing them at indoor on Sunday with ankle socks, couldn't help but laugh at him, he was like Bambi on ice wearing rollerblades.

I played absolutely shite.

But I did tackle someone from behind while they were taking a free kick. Heel turn right there.

The original injury? playing a stupid sport called football! This was back in September but it hasn't healed correctly meaning I'm out of running a local half marathon in two months time!

Instead me and a collegue have set up a training programme which will see us weight train six days a week with small bits of cardio which I can do without two much damage!

3 weeks off the bike and feel like i'm pretty much back to square one for the year, still managed to beat my time on the climb upto Goodwood by over a minute though so thats something. Also forgot to turn the GPS back on my Garmin after a turbo session so missing the start of the ride

Pain in my calves making me question whether I'm just really, really unfit or if I have some sort of medical condition.

What were you doing to get this pain bud?

Since I can do net to no cardio work still, and working in a gym I want to stay fit, I've devised a six day week weight programme, been at it now for three weeks, enjoying it to date!

DDP doesn't look a day over 70, so you know it must be good for the body.

Yep, I died. Only managed to last 40km, cause some idiot decided to break hard in front of me on the uphill section and I ended up in the ditch. Couldn't really chase it back from there on my own, average heart rate for the hour was 178, so was on the limit all race, good experience though

Been getting alot better out on the bike recently, actually nice to have the time to get out. Set a load of PB's on todays ride, probably helps that they weren't very quick to begin with

Started training again end of July after the knee reconstruction in March.

Down 8.6kg from July 20th to today, October 20th.

Aiming to hit the 95kg mark by New Years.

So this is what started the decline into him being a broken mess.

Socks that don't slip and rub I suppose.

It's really a trial and error kind of thing from my experience.
