The Other F Word - Financials

Hey, folks. I have a dilemma I cannot seem to figure out. I stay well within my team's transfer budget and am consistantly close to $100,000 under budget for my team's payroll however I seem to consistently lose money hand over fist and have problems with financial fairplay rules. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong? Where can I save money and improve?

I have looked around the internet and have found guides on tactics, training, wonderkids, and almost every other aspect of the game but I cannot seem to find anything that does a good job breaking down financials. Can anyone offer me some advice or point me towards one?

You could take a look at expenditure and see where you're losing money, it could be debts or players on high wages. But mainly you need to get a good run in cups games.

Go to transfer centre > clauses, you could be paying wages for players that have left or even monthly transfer fees even from previous transfers you never undertook

Bonuses, etc are a pain too but would probably need to bring up each individual's contract and have a look

Also, double check that you're not paying crazy wages for players on loan

The finances are a pain in the arse. I've started a game as Celtic, on the same date, multiple times and sometimes my starting balance is -400k or +100k....no idea why as the exact same spec I'm loading each time!

I enjoy managing the finances. I'm very tight on wages.
