It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

Thanks! Not so simple for simple people
On a serious note, I have two questions to ask:
1) If there is a player with no photo in the game, or in any pack, can he be added separately if a pic is cut - or would it need to wait until the next update pack was made?
2) Browsing some of the other threads, I see people are doing specific team packs, or adding youth players, obscure players/staff etc. Once these are done, are they automatically put in to the next update pack, or must we download/extract/add them separately?
Apologies for the questions, which I hope make sense, I'm just not quite sure how you amalgamate all the new stuff in to the packs and curious to know.

1) Anybody can add a new cut-out by manually adding it to the megapack folder and then using fmXML (available elsewhere on this site) to generate a new config file to enable the game to "read" the image. If it's a missing or an improvement image, then it will probably be added to the next update pack, if you can wait.
2) The point of the update packs is that they include all the individual cuts and the images in the released facepacks, as well as a good amount of images from outside the forum. Of course, one is free to use the steps in 1) to add them manually to his game if he can't wait till the update pack is released

I looked in my graphics folder in FM14 and can see I have one big file called MEGAPACK 5.0,, there is also another sortitoutsi folder with a much smaller faces folder,, im guessing thats an old update but it has no info on it saying exactly what one.
Can someone tell me,, if I want my facepacks totally up to date,, do I need to install in order update 5.1,,,,5.2,,,,5.3 and so on to I get to update 7.1 ??? Or do I just install update 7.1 ???

To know which update pack you have in that folder, check the date modified on the config.xml and compare it to the date of release of the update packs. If it's a day or two out to any of the update packs, then it's probably that one.
Each update pack contains only the images of that pack and not others from previous update packs. If you are still on 5.0, it would probably be simpler to download 7.0 via torrent then download 7.01 to be up-to-date, rather than downloading the 20 or so update packs released since 5.0 was made available.

I'd give it a day or two, then try again - sometimes it may be an issue with your internet service provider. If in a couple of days, it's still not working then please let us know so we can see whether it's something at our end

it does carry on and extract but it only seems to have 130,000 odd files not 150,000?

I'm afraid it looks like the file didn't download fully and therefore the archive cannot be fully extracted. You'll have to download it again...

I have downloaded FM2015 this evening and the various kit/badge/faces packs
Normally I have the following folder :
"My Documents » Sports Interactive » Football Manager 2013 » graphics".
But this time round I dont? Has something changed? Any advice as to where to place the packs would be appreciated. My FM was a digital download from STEAM and all I have pertaining to FM are the files in the Program Files > Sports Interactive > Common folder.

Please read this post as to why it's not that easy to have both our pack and the default SI images.The overall bulk of images in our megapack are of a better quality than the SI ones, if perhaps a bit older on occasions, however, which is why it is not that big a deal in my opinion.
If there's any particular team(s) you want to have the SI images of, just let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Though it shouldn't make a difference, you have around 18,000 less images than the total in the megapack so I would recommend that you download the packs you're lacking in order to be up-to-date.

When you view players from leagues who have default SI cuts, which are displayed? For example, can you screenshot Messi and/or Ronaldo's profile pic?
