Simply extract the contents into your skins folder, change the skin in game, and then reload FM (you'll only need to do this if the skin you were using has a coloured in sidebar)

The small sidebar version!
It slices, it dices, it peels, it shreads it.. does none of that.
There's a new folder in the 7z file, for those of you that want a small sidebar all the time. But, and this is important, you must have both (that's, BOTH!) skin folders for the small sidebar to work. If you ask why it's not working, and I find out you've only copied the small sidebar version over, I reserve the right to be witheringly sarcastic at you. It's the only way you'll learn.
I've also fixed a couple of bugs, and tweaked the player profile page so you can show player preferred moves, and both the history and biography panels on the rightmost column.
Oh, and I've also added an instant result button. You will have to activate it yourself, mind. Simply follow these steps:
1. Edit steklo_x5/panels/titlebar.xml
2. Go to the bottom of the file, where you'll find the instant match result widget
3. Change the hidn property from true to false.
4. Save, then reload the skin.

probably a stupid question, but how can you actually edit the xml files (I want the instant result button)? Is there some program that you need to have to do this? Because now when I open a file, it opens in a browser and I can't edit anything there.

You've not accidentally extracted the skin folders into a subfolder have you?
i.e.
My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/skins/Steklo_X5/Steklo_X5
rather than:
My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/skins/Steklo_X5

When you've downloaded the file, unzip and you should be left with a folder called steklo_x5_v1_1. Open that and you should find 2 folders in there called steklo_x5 & steklo_x5_smallsidebar. Drag and drop both those folders into your skins folder and when the game is loaded you should see them under preferences.

One thing; I have downloaded the backgrounds megapack. I can see a bit of the backgrounds where the sidebar is, but the main panels of the screen like where the player profile is or news or squad screen for example aren't transparent like they appear to be on the screenshots so I can't see the majority of the backgrounds, any ideas on how I can change this? Because I've always loved the backgrounds on previous versions of FM, makes each team unique. Cheers

Congratulations on this wonderful work! I do not have the habit of using alternative skins, use only the traditional and up the white version of it, the more I'm loving the skin Steklo X5!

That looks like another skin has been merged into it (there's no glass effect in the titlebar either). I'd recommend going back to the default skin, then removing the contents of your skins folder and re-extracting them one at a time to see if it happens again.

I went into the skin folder and deleted the background images and reloaded the skin and it worked but for some reason I have loaded it up today and for some reason its no longer working and the background files are back in the skin folder even though I havent got the Steam Workshop version and havent updated to 1.1 manually.
This has left me really confused.

Deleting the backgrounds is unnecessary, stadium backgrounds should be visible by default. No idea how they came back, mind.

I've tried placing the small panels folder in the panels folder but it overrides and doesn't change. I did see that I had to have both panel files there but I can't work out how.
