This. Despite how impressive City looked, West Brom were poor.

In each of the last 5 seasons, the eventual champions have started their season on a monday. Good sign for West Brom then.

Anyway, the articles intended to be a defence of Mourinho but the basic gist of it is that Carneiro has been demoted because as a woman she's too distracting for the players because they can't 'be themselves' in the dressing room.
On balance it seems a completely plausible explanation, and further shows Mourinho up as a misogynist -alongside he's very questionable remarks about Benitez wife - as well as all his other character flaws.

I understand him getting annoyed at her going on social media, but he shouldn't have reacted like that in the first place. He's being disrespectful to his medical team, who were doing their job. They were called on by Michael Oliver to tend to Hazard, who incidentally wasn't injured, so if there's anyone to blame it's him. How is it fair to demote someone for doing their job correctly?
Castles said the team have a problem with a female presence in the dressing room. They did fine last season, or have they had problems with her and only now have gone to the manager about it? Bullshit.

Shocking treatment of staff just doing their job.

The whole situation is a mess.
I can't defend or make excuses for De Gea anymore, not wanting to play and sub standard training performances, you've got a contract to honour.

If you believe that, you'll believe anything.
The whole situation has been blown well out of proportion, given that Mourinho didn't help the cause to make a point of the whole thing immediately afterwards. While both physio's were in the right to go onto the pitch after being given the all clear by the ref twice to come on- they can only enter the field of play when given the okay. Basically, Mourinho had words with BOTH Fearn and Carneiro (I believe there is footage of this) on the touch line, however the focus has been purely on it being Carneiro who was singled out; incorrect. She also retaliated back to what Mourinho said, didn't help. Mourinho also addressed BOTH in his after game interview. BOTH have been dropped by reports, however Fearn may stay given we need a physio on the bench.
All in all, it's a shit storm that should have been kept internal and dealt with in a in club manner. That falls on Mourinho, and not for the first time. The only thing it isn't though is sexist or has anything to do with Eva being female.

I think the whole thing is being blown up by the media looking for a story. De Gea might stay or he might go, but the situations exactly the same as it was last week, he's simply not being considered for selection whilst its ongoing and that is, in part, in consultation with him.

Adnan's goal was superb, great run by him, superb pass by Mata and a good finish. I wish Rooney would stop going back to the halfway line, and I wish he'd stop being so shit.

The defence did very well, Schneiderin has settled in nicely, Depay looks like he's going to be great. All new signings did well tonight, although Romero was barely threatened. Mata was really good tonight, great pass for the goal and a couple of other good ones.
However Rooney, my fucking god he is so shit. Why oh why did we keep him? Slow, horrible first touch, we pretty much played with 10 men tonight. Useless.
