@Mateee It's better to post the original source image if you're just requesting a cutout, it gives the cutter more options to make a better quality cutout. Enlarged the original source, so it's less blurry:

I also found this more recent source but I'm not sure if it would be a better cutout @mons

Well done, @weeniehutjr ! Is there a tutorial you can share for colorizing b/w photos?

Just a lot of trial and error! I started with a base of using an AI image colorizer like this site (here's the result I got from that), then used adjustment layers in Photoshop to increase the vibrance/saturation and darken the image, and layer masks to remove the skin-tone colours from the teeth and eyes. Then I painted over the image on a new layer with skin-tone colours (blend mode set to Color) to make the skin colours look more realistic and less red/pink as well as paint the lips more pink, and finally a Hue/Saturation adjustment to make the shirt blue instead of skin-coloured. This YouTube video might be useful if you're interested in learning more about colorizing black and white photos!

One other thing to point out is that in a source like this, it's ideal to rotate it a couple of degrees so that the face is upright rather than at an angle - see this comment for an example of what I mean

Given the poor source image, it'd be difficult to get a much better cut than that. A bit of clone stamping needed on the left of the beard perhaps?

Enlarged the source image since it wasn't great quality, should be enough for a 250px cutout (@Parker26)

@ydkb_ For source images from EFL club's, see this guide - you can get larger image sizes like below, you just have to combine two images in an image editor like Photoshop.

@ydkb_ A few things to note: First, cutouts should be sized 250*250px (like the player's current cutout), or 180*180px if the source image isn't good enough quality for a 250px cutout.

Secondly, there's a better way to get a good quality cutout than the technique you're using (Photoshop Refine Edge?) which is still leaving stray bits of the background - try giving remove.bg a try. There's a guide on the best practice in this thread

@E.B.S. you're right that @julkjulk's comment wasn't constructive, but to be fair there's not much point in enlarging a small source image like you've done here. It's always better to search for a larger source image, as enlarging will always be imperfect and lack all of the details from the original. I found a few sources that would give a better cutout:

It is black. I suggest you check you have installed it properly

I'm not sure if you used the color eyedropper tool to sample the kit's colours, but you used a very dark blue rather than true black. And because of FM's 3D Match engine lighting, the kits in the match are brightened making the dark blue more obvious.

@mons @zbladzg I found a different source on the player's facebook, but annoyingly it was an "artistic" photo that had blown-out shadows/muted highlights, blue lighting and desaturated colours. Did my best to recolour and correct the lighting:

@freiburgfan This cutout is from the same source as the 11.03 megapack version, it's not an improvement.
Be sure to read the Tutorials and Guides for Cutters thread as well - the edges of the cutout you uploaded are quite blurry.

@lele298 Remember to constrain the image proportions when you're resizing the cutout - You've stretched it too much horizontally and now the face is too wide. In this case, the cutout should be approximately 163 or 164 pixels from ear-to-ear
