With gates being split 50/50 in these cup games, not even the NAPM fans went to Palace

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CqkFnncXYAA4izA.jpg

Sounds like the players didn't turn up either according to the report in the Guardian:

Palace more or less treated the game as an extended practice exercise, with Blackpool’s orange kits providing convincing replacements for training cones.

I can't be the only one who didn't realise Pienaar was still at Everton before his transfer to Sunderland? Assumed he had retired.

Gotta love PSG and their love of buying unwanted players for decent money! Surprised you got £15mill for Lucas.

Ings seems to have had a good start to your season, maybe that's where Klopp is going wrong irl!

Good win for Dundee United today, sees them climb into the play-off spots even if it is still August Noticed there was no Souttar in their line up today, rumours are the young centre half is off to Stoke and according to my Dundee United supporting friend some fans would be glad to see the back of him! Seems a bit daft to me, the kid is only 17 and seems to have potential, the reported £200,000 fee seems pretty low!

Elsewhere, it was good to see Dobbie score a brace for Queen of the South. Ah, memories

Aye they should definitely be less than that there, why are people still going?

There are so many lame excuses that it boggles the mind, the most deluded of which is that some "fans" seem to think it doesn't matter who owns the club or how they run it and that all that matters is the football and the results on the pitch. Regardless if your owners treat you like cash cows and will sue you as soon as look down their nose at you with their rapey-eyes. Some people spout all sorts and I don't want to go into the scabs reasons as they just make me angry

The owners do realise, however, that half of the population of Blackpool are smackheads and doleys who will do anything for a free handout and so continue to offer free tickets in an attempt to artificially boost attendance figures in an attempt to show that NAPM movement is not working. We must be hitting their pocket, making them dip into their personal fund the club's "rainy day money". Our only hope is to stop the club making them money to loan to their other failing companies and keep them in their lifestyle and someone comes in to buy the club who can see our potential. I imagine the current owners would still stack the club with millions of pounds of debt and even in death their claws would be unmovable from the clubs assets but it would be a start.

Personally I think the Oystons just see themselves as in competition with the Venkys over who are the biggest set of cunts to run a football club. Just shows the lack of real power and even the lack of care the FA actually have over football in this country, just so long as the TV money keeps rolling in ay?

Much like Mark Clattenburg then.

Should've conceded 2 penalties, should've had Coquelin sent off, Sanchez was poor, but at least we're off the mark eh.

I only saw the first penalty claim, didn't think it was and that Clattenburg made the right call. Defender seemed to get the ball first. However, I'll wait for a better replay on MOTD tonight. Sounds like the second one would have been very soft if given too?

Boom, Barca have kicked off the season in style. A 6-2 win over Real Betis and a hat trick for Suarez. Hope he returns to the Premier League one day.

Real Madrid have got it all to do tomorrow to match that as a statement of intent!

A boring 0-0 for us today, probably the players eyes were on the tie on Tuesday away at Palace.

The attendence debacle continues.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CqTsnR-WcAADMBQ.jpg

Attendance given as 3,114, though actual attendance closer to 1,911. Latest trick is to boost numbers with lots of free tickets, then count all of those free tickets in the attendence figures even if they weren't all used. Still too many scabs either way.

Did indeed binge through Penny Dreadful and Sillicon Valley, enjoyed them both!

Have also shot through the latest trending tv show, Stranger Things. Loved the 80s theme and whilst the story seemed familiar it was still enjoyable all the way through

Currently trying to get into the 4400 on Netflix, got good reviews from friends but I'm struggling with it half way through the first season.

I've never enjoyed a film with Kevin Hart or Dwayne Johnson in before, so I was very pleasantly surprised by this. Only watched it on a whim and I'm glad I did, entertaining!

So if I buy premium it will last for a year and I can cancel it anytime so I won't end up paying more than £10 ?

Correct as far as I'm aware. Though at the end of the year you'd need to pay another £10 if you wished to continue being a Premium Member!

Some humorous stuff in the BBC column today:

Barcelona are interested in West Brom and Venezuela striker Salomon Rondon, 26. (Mirror)

Also, Watford are supposedly signing Pereyra from Juventus...that would be quite a snatch?

I can't help but like this Man City side...

Aguero with 2 penalties in the game so far, both not scored. Never thought he was the best penalty taker, surely City have better in their ranks? Thankfully for them Silva has scored inbetween penalty misses to give them a lead.

2nd round draw in full, two fixtures depending on tonight's game.

EFL Cup second-round draw

QPR v Rochdale

Scunthorpe v Cardiff/Bristol City* (see note below)

Watford v Gillingham

Peterborough v Swansea

Everton v Yeovil

Millwall v Nottingham Forest

Sunderland v Shrewsbury

Luton v Leeds

Chelsea v Bristol Rovers/Bristol City* (see note below)

Burton v Liverpool

Blackburn v Crewe

Accrington v Burnley

Crystal Palace v Blackpool

Morecambe v Bournemouth

Preston v Oldham

Oxford v Brighton

Reading v MK Dons

Fulham v Middlesbrough

Newcastle v Cheltenham

Exeter v Hull

Derby v Carlisle

Northampton v West Brom

Wolves v Cambridge

Stevenage v Stoke

Norwich v Coventry

*Bristol Rovers' match against Cardiff City on Thursday will affect the draw seedings. If Cardiff win, they will be seeded and will visit Scunthorpe United, with Bristol City going to Chelsea. If Bristol Rovers win, they will be unseeded and will be away to Chelsea, with Bristol City away to Scunthorpe.

Didn't expect us to beat the murderers, now it's the Glad All Over derby down at Palace. Hope it's a tiny crowd so our pilfering owners don't get much to line their pockets with.
