I'll have a look over the weekend and see if I can't help.
In the meantime - I take it you mean an "umbrella" competition for leagues at the same level? Unless I'm misunderstanding, all you have to do is add competition > parent competition, and make sure the "umbrella" has no clubs in it (and is set to Domestic Division)?

Hi folks! I'm working on an enhanced database file for the Scottish Football Pyramid, as I did last year - the bonus this year being that it *touch wood* works properly with promotion to the professional leagues this year!
UPDATE: Final Beta file ready!
Full Change List
Added all relevant divisions
Added main regional and lower cups
Amended prize monies
Updated club reputations
Added awards for new divisions
Create logo pack (WIP, need to add trophies etc)
Corrected kits, colours (done for level 5, WIP level 6)
Create & add correct managers (WIP)
Fill out with real-life squads (WIP) - use "add players to playable teams" for now.

It's really frustrating, as it seems to work perfectly when both teams are AI, but as soon as one team in user controlled the game gets confused. Gotta love the editor sometimes...

Are you running any other update files alongside this one? I'm running another test just now, just to make sure everything is ok. You're the first to notice an issue with the playoffs etc, will try to see if I can help!
EDIT: Just ran a five season test - it's definitely working for me! Try downloading the file again, and replacing it in your "editor data" folder - you may have got the initial file that had an issue for some reason!

Only the Highland League teams have a decent amount of squad data in FM, so I'd recommend starting the game with the "add players to playable teams" option ticked. Having said that, like you say there are a few good frees floating around! Kean at ST is a great start.

I did initially - it's located under Stages > League, under League Settings in the advanced editor (which works fine in my file). I had initially looked in the wrong place!

Hey folks!
I've just made it to the bottom of the pyramid, the juniors will be next up in my database! The v15.0.2 release this week will include the East of Scotland and South of Scotland Leagues, then I'll hopefully have the main junior leagues done and released before Christmas.

I intend to eventually add in some junior levels, so I'll get to Pollok and the likes no doubt! Concentrating on the actual pyramid firstly though. Hoping to have the next update out next week, expanding down to include the East of Scotland and South of Scotland Leagues (which now tie in to the Lowland League).
Not sure why the logos wouldn't show - if they're in a folder called "graphics" it should work regardless of which database you use? Try re-naming the folder, and then make sure it's in the Football Manager 2015 folder in your documents (sometimes there are two separate folders, one in shared docs).

I've worked out a fix for this!
If you use the advanced editor, delete the blank (only the blank) discipline rules under the nation name, and there will be no annoying error messages.

I'm making good progress on an update to Scotland, allowing the Highland and Lowland leagues to become playable. In case you might not know, this year sees Scotland starting a pyramid system similar to England, opening the trapdoor out of League 2 down to the non-league levels.
Before I go ahead and add some real detail to the file, I need to ask some people to test this out. Run it in the background, or as your main career - up to you. Just need to make sure it continues to function over a 5-10 year spell with different outcomes.
Download the file here! Add it to Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/editor data.
Also, I've created logos for all the Highland and Lowland league clubs which should work in the game. Download these here, and extract them to Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/graphics.
Basically, once I'm happy that this is working as well as possible, I'll add the final details and upload it properly on this website.
Changes Made
- activated Highland and Lowland leagues
- real competition names added
- date range for fixtures accurately mirrored to real life
- promotion playoff between champions of each league (2 legs) inserted on correct dates
- winner of playoff faces bottom team in League 2, as IRL
- cup competitions added (as close to real life as possible inc dates, some "creative changes" required due to editor restrictions)
- relegation from Lowland league to South of Scotland/East of Scotland leagues included
- both Highland and Lowland leagues set to remain regional (as far as possible) with teams moving up and down
- real manager and chairman names added to clubs where possible
Not Changed Yet
- awards to be included
- accurate prize monies to be added
- potential addition of further divisions and levels below
- club specifics (facilities, reputation etc) to be improved
