Hi Fidney.

I am Paul and i am making my own team in the EPL and i have designed my teams kit, but i would like to ask you if you can finish it so it will work in FM21 and added to the magepack, my database is Richmond and in this database my Unique ID: 4001706, but i am happy to start a whole new one if that's required to add your megapack.

 

I am happy to pay some money if you like to finish the product.

I will provide PSD and 200x200 logo in PNG format that you can use for icon, logo and small 20x20 badge with 3 kit colours.

 

Home kit: black

Away kit: Orange

Third kit: Yellow

There is no kits megapack I'm afraid, and all I normally do is a pack for the default kits in SS style. That said, your request is simple enough so I've had a crack at the kits. Hope these are OK for you? (and thanks for the offer to pay, but that absolutely is not necessary - folk on these forums do what they do for the love of FM and to help others enjoy it that bit more, and no-one should charge anyone for anything they do).

I can see from the screenshots you've provided that you are trying to make backs as well as fronts. It really is not worth making backs as you only see those on the tactics page and they are so small you can't make out any detail. However, if you are determined, it is possible to get them to work - I used to do it for my fantasy team added via the editor, but gave up after a while and I cannot now remember the correct XML to get them to show in-game!!!

 

That said, here are the backs. 

 

NOTE: The nib sponsor logo needs to be so low down else it will be obscured by the shirt number in game.

 

You're going to need a config.xml file to get these to work in-game, and attached is one I've prepared for you (fronts only).

 

To get these to show, place the shirt fronts and the attached config into a new folder, then pop that folder inside the “pictures” folder - the default path on a PC (not Mac) is C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\pictures

 

The ID you've quoted is for Burton Albion so you may need to remove the lines for that from the config.xml file if you've downloaded a League One kit-pack to avoid confusing the game.

Thanks for the pack.

 

I installed it, no problem whatsoever, I managed to implement the SS kit effect.

 

However, the club logos don't appear on the default kits, and I don't know why..

 

What should I do ? Do I have to delete one of the folders which appear in Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\pictures\kits\2d\outfield\front\default\logos ?

EDIT : if it can help, I did THIS (https://community.sigames.com/forums/topic/524020-remove-licensed-kits/) prior to installing the pack (to delete all licensed kits). I think it's irrelevant but I say it just in case

I've not come across this issue before. You do not need to delete any graphics to use these default kits, and certainly not any logos. The logo showing in-game for a team should appear in the correct place on the default kit.

 

Please check and confirm that you have installed the default kits in the exact location specified in the instructions. And I do mean exact, no additional directories, spaces in the names etc. Even something as minor as a capital letter instead of a lower case letter and they will not work properly even if they do show on-screen.

 

If you are sure they they have been installed in the correct location with exactly the same path then please can you post a screenshot showing your installation folder and also a screenshot from the game showing the issue and I will see if I can work out what is wrong.

Most of the English step 6 league logos are the next level down exiting step 5 leagues so you can simply copy existing logos over and give them a new ID, but there are 4 step 6 leagues unrelated to step 5 leagues, and these are:

East Midlands Counties Football League (correct name) ID 2000020140


South West Peninsula Football League Premier West ID 2000020184 and South West Peninsula Football League Premier East ID 2000020185 (correct names)


West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division (correct name) ID 2000020191

Is the North West Counties League Cup (ID 2000066197) in the game or have you added it yourself? I cannot find it in mine. Regardless of that, I think there is a newer sponsor and logo for that competition so I've done both the one you asked for and the one I found.

What mons is saying is totally correct.

If you place the zip file in the location specified in the OP and then extract it, it creates all the necessary sub-folders as it goes. If you are using the default user folder location this will be?

C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\pictures\kits\2d\outfield\front\default

It is absolutely critical that the part in red is exactly as shown. All needs to be in lower case and even something as insignificant as an extra space or full stop is enough to mess it up.

Folks - you can also enjoy the SS style default kits in the Editor.

To do this you need to edit an XML file called called special folders.xml which you will find in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2021 Editor (take a back up first just to be on the safe side).

Open special folders.xml in a text editor:

Amend the file path (only) in the line highlighted above to match the file path to your SS style kits.

For example:

And if you also amend the line underneath (as I have done) and you can also see your custom logos (e.g. Metallic logos) when in the editor.

Save the file and then load up your editor. It's that simple.

NOTE: If you do this, you will need folders with shirt numbers, shorts and socks in ...graphics\pictures\kits\2d\ or you will not see them in the editor. I simply used the Resource Archiver to extract graphics.fmf and copy over the 3 folders named numbers, shorts and socks which you can find there.

Yes, it does seem like it is a game issue - there are a few posts in the SI bugs forum about it, and in this one they acknowledge that it is a known problem.

You can change the user folder through preferences in-game (but you have to type "location" in the search bar or you won't see it):



As you can see, my user folder is on a removable hard drive. My save game and all the graphics I have downloaded (kits, badges, faces) are all on this drive.

Whatever I do, I cannot replicate the issue you are seeing, hence why I am wondering if you are using the default skin or a custom one.

OK, I've tested and I simply cannot replicate the issue.

I have tried the default logos, Schweigi's Standard Logos, and the Metallic logos, and they are all in the correct place:



I really don't know what the problem is. Are you using a custom skin or the default one?

Never seen that, let me have a mess around and see if I can work out what is going on.

Since last year the game uses the actual badges from the game itself and puts them on the shirt, which is really cool if it has the actual badges or if you use a badge pack as you see the real badge on default kits.

Are you using the default badges or do you use a badge pack? If so which one? Could you upload a "Normal" and a "Small" badge for one of the teams (and let me know which one) so I'm testing like for like.

Not seen that problem to be honest - the badges should be positioned as they show in the image at the top of this page. They are the actual badges (logos) from the game and not part of this pack.

Can you post a screen-cap so I can see the problem you are seeing?

@Qvordrup Hi mate. SI have added the European U19 Prelim Qualifying to the game this year - doesn't need a new logo of course, just a copy of 150787 with the ID 2000032590 and that to be added to the config.

Not to butt in, but I think there is an alternate Notts Forest logo (692.png) in the alts directory that has a white background and surround to the logo. Simply switch that with the all red one in the main directory and you should be good to go (and don't forget to do the same with the small one too).

Last time I downloaded the full pack was 2020.07 back in June and I've downloaded each update since then so if it wasn't in the full pack 2020.07 it would have been in one of those updates.

Not sure if that helps you out.

In my save I am managing Barnsley in the EFL Championship, and the 19/20 season has just drawn to a close. I have the English leagues from Vanarama North/South and upwards playable and all other leagues as "view only"

In the past season there seemed to be an unrealistic and disproportionate amount if interest in my players (and in English Championship player in general) from MLS clubs - I've had 3 or 4 MLS clubs at a time putting in transfer bids for a few of my players, and the news feed is littered with articles about MLS clubs interest in other Championship players.

Does anyone else have this "problem"? Could I have caused this by choosing to have all other leagues "view only"?

Tried seeing if I could turn off the MLS being a view only league, but that doesn't seem to be an option in a savegame.

For the completists amongst you, here are metallic logos for 8 English lower league clubs (didn't spot any others) that are currently absent from the metallic logos megapack or updates.



Attached rar contains full set - normal, small, small@2x, back left and back right.

Configs - for these 8 only - also included. Use as-is if keeping these in separate folder to the main metallic logo folders. If adding to existing metallic logos folders you will need to cut and paste the 8 lines from these configs into the existing configs in those folders.

Sam amswer as above really. I'm afraid I don't have an iPad so I can't really say for sure, but I would be surprised if it's not possible to get it to work. Guess that the iPad installation path may be different to the Android one, but that's just guesswork.

In theory, but I don't have an iPad so it may not work in the same way as the Android version.

Fantastic work. Thanks so much to everyone involved in cutting the faces, pulling the pack together and sharing with the Football Manager community.

After too many years if incremental updates (did I or didn't I get them all ), dubious custom enhancements and moving them from version to version, I finally took the plunge, deleted the lot and took a clean fesh download of the full pack to celebrate the realease of FM20

A big for all the excellent work, and a massive thank you to everyone involved in pulling togther this must-have enhancement for the game.

My FM18/FM19 default kits will still work, but these have been tweaked a little and the effect / texture has been improved.

@hammer9 @Qvordrup - sorry guys, I think I have managed to upload them to the wrong place again this year. For some reason I seem to have real difficulty getting them into the right place. Grateful if you could move them if I have got it wrong again.
