if he isnt in your game its probably because you havent got a large enough DB set and or the league he is in isnt playable etc

no in game editor allows changes like this, the only way is the pre game editor and starting a new save

did you read the opening posts of this thread and point [30] in the FAQs?  and please post in English

1. The real results are already added to the file I posted- fixture times and rules- find the league fixtures [there are 306 the ones that were in the basic rules file]

2.Again under-fixture times and rules - is fixture dates you enter the stages concerned here

open a set of new nation rules for Belgium convert to advanced and check the stages/sections there you can copy the initial dates etc  from there and paste into the file I gave you

as said  before if there are any further issues you need to report to SI 

I am away again from tomorrow and with no access to the editor

it would help if I had loaded the file 

you can with FMRTE it seems you cant with the IGE 

send me your save and the player  you want to change -name /birthplace 

sometimes adding the real fixtures cause the stages to vanish😉

I have added all the missing  stages for you for these comps

you can now make the changes you wish

if there are any further issues you need to report to SI

with FMRTE you can I am unsure with the IGE

You need to explain what the file is I have removed the link until you do

It's needed IMO 

I believe that is related to the work permit system and cant be edited in pre game editor as it seems to be hard coded 

you can however use FMRTE to edit/remove it if you want to

I dont use this file myself as I use my own pyramid/systems and actually want England to have a hard Brexit to level up the game, as it is too much in favour of the EPL I have a fairer set up across the board if and when I ever get time to actually start a save😉

you can do it yourself in the editor read the FAQ thread if unsure

just edit the fixture file to include the 5 subs

there is a FAQ thread here explains how to do change the substitutes rule it is simple to do

 I never recommend merging files ever it is fraught with danger

this is just the fixtures/results

if you want that edit the file/s easy to do

its been asked several times so no need to ask again, Dave will update it at his own pace

sadly players cant be added to the update here 

the options here is to edit players/staff/people already in the DB only there is no facility to add players

you can however add any person who is missing from the DB yourself using the pre game editor

if you want the player added directly to the game you need to contact SI on their forums and provide details to their research staff, but that wont happen now until FM23 IMO

sometimes files created in older versions of the DB go to crap when a new update comes out, I have had to redo many files made in the default DB that have bizarre issues in the Winter update due to changes SI have made

 also some files are fine in basic rules but have issues when you convert to advanced, its the editor it is poor.

you need to report to SI and I will try to look at your file in due course, the sub rule will be an option FYI in basic rules if you have been editing rules for that comp

show a screenshot of the stages tab in advanced rules of Pro league IIRC there are several sets like euro etc etc, are you saying these are now blank?

you wouldn't have added real fixtures to these leagues by any chance? if so remove them obviously copy/back up the file first then open advanced rules, see if the stage rules are now showing

@moondog777  did you create this file on a previous older version of the game, or an earlier DB in FM22 than you are trying to edit it now ?

I have seen similar issues like this before when converting to advanced rules- the editor is not as good as it could/should be and is very frustrating 

it is looking like a bug that needs to be reported to SI

I dont have access to the editor currently but PM me your file I can look at it when I get a chance but this could be a couple of weeks time

the substitute change  5 from 12 available  is in basic rules if I remember correctly

[30]When there is an update to the game DB

When there is an update to the game eg recently FM22 was updated to FM22.4.0 it will result in some files created on previous versions of the DB being no longer  usable.

Mostly it is easily fixed by just opening the file/s in the latest DB[22.4.0 or whatever the latest version is] in the editor, saving it and the testing it[point  [3] shows how to test file].

 If it doesnt test it means SI have made changes to league structures etc and the file will have to be rebuilt.

So can users be a bit proactive and try testing files themselves rather than posting on threads saying something needs to be updated.
