Just a quick question here! I never downloaded any data update on players and staff i always used the official one from SI. My question is that since i am interesting in starting a new save now i would like to add a data update. I have seen several around the net but most of them have created players or staff that don't exist in the original database. I would like one update that doesn't generate any players or staff so my question is if this data update generates or not players and staff! Thanks in advance

it might solve it but who knows with this editor seeing bugs appear that are nothing related to changes made to a league structure
so IMO hang fire until the last patch is made by SI but seek out the file creator and if no joy report to SI

personally I have given up doing any of the things I want to do until 21.3 is released and then that will bring issues to some files created in the original editor 😉

Nashville (which is not playable has a 2017 year of foundation though...

I've used a super league file from FM20 where both Nashville and Inter Miami weren't playable, could it explain it?

so this file is not yours? if so I would ask where you got it from to see if there was a resolution

FM20 would explain Miami as they were not founded IIRC, however doesnt explain nashville sounds like another bug so you need to report to SI

I've put almost all MLS teams but Nashville and Inter Miami are the only ones that are not playable. In addition, almost all the clubs have their basic nation as "Based Nation", same as "continental based nation"... I have no clue what i can change on it...

yes there is no reason I can see why those 2 clubs are not playable....hang on are they new clubs? only start up in 2020? if so that could be the issue try changing their year founded to an earlier date hope that works for you as I cant see why they are not playable

Here is the file of the league i'm working on. Basically i've made all divisions of English football playable and i've put lots of clubs in the different divisions I have created.
When i talk about the normal game I mean without loading any custom database

I will have a quick look now

what do you mean they are playable in regular game? you mean without loading your file?

give details of the super league etc you havent given any info to work with here, is it replacing the current league structure or is it a type of cup/continental cup?

I believe the future chairman command is not tied to a specific date, unlike a future transfer. It just means that person may take over the club at some indeterminate point in the future.

You'll have to play around and experiment a bit with these commands, I'm not the most knowledgeable about them.

It's not there any more and any files in that folder are all loaded by default. If you don't want a file to be used, remove it from that folder.

added a couple of future chairman and the change doesnt happen in game just ran a couple of tests with no joy
and you can use FMRTE to instigate a board takeover which I did but the set up chairmen in the edt files do not take over as expected?

@mons do you know if the 'extra files' not showing in preferences is a skin issue or have SI disabled this option, its something I used to use but I would say it was FM18 when I did last

this thread made me have a brief look for it and I went back to FM20 and I am not seeing it in the preferences section anymore, there used to be a drop down menu where you had a tick box to implement the file/s you wanted running in a save?

I have tried several skins with no joy to try and access and set up the extra files

obviously as you know the edt files are still there-
