That's unfortunately not possible in the current version (and I'm also not sure how such a thing would be accomplished with how the creator works in general).

We've released a new update that includes a number of small additions and fixes, most notably the ability to import kits and layers from kits created using the FIFA and PES creators.

Based on popular demand, we've finally got around to implementing the FC'12 2D kit style:

This is already available in the “Minikit Generator” and will be in the kit creator itself shortly.

The SS style has also been updated to improve it a bit.

Difficult to say what's going on there. It shouldn't really be possible for them to have a different shirt only as the shirt, shorts and socks are all on the same texture. So either they should all be “wrong” or all be the correct ones. The only thing I can think of would be a conflict with another kit in the graphics folder set to the same slot (team + kit type).

By the way, we released another update yesterday, introducing the fantastic new team search, powered by the Sortitoutsi database. Thanks again to the team for all the help and of course letting us use it without any issue 👍

The update also brings a number of updates for base designs.

• Increased maximum rotation for all base designs to 180 degrees
• Added "Mirror (center)" option to all base designs
• Added "Width ratio" setting to Checkers and expanded "Rows" to a maximum of 20
• Added "Offset", "Count" and "Mode" options to Zig Zag

A small update has been released, adding custom sleeve cuffs and side panels, as known from the PES and FIFA creators.

Improvements to the Export feature and team search are planned for later this week 👀

Is it possible that there's another file in the graphics folder for the team you're editing, perhaps from another pack? Please try it with just the 3 files from the zip file in there. It should work and we did a fair amount of testing prior to launch.

You can add a third kit with the “Football Manager 2022 Editor”, which is available on Steam. This only works for new saves, though. I haven't gotten it to work with any of the in-game editors yet.

We've identified the importing process as one of the main hurdles for newcomers so we decided to implement a feature where you can select a Team “Unique ID” and type of kit and can download a .ZIP that includes the kit texture, 2D kit and a config that links everything.

This means to import a kit you only need to extract it inside the graphics folder and then reload the skin ingame. Much better already and we're hopeful to add a team search in there, too, so you don't have to look up the ID outside the creator first.

The first version of this new feature is available on the site already, and we've also updated the ‘How to’ tab to improve it and add info about this new option for exporting / downloading.

It only shows when hovering a kit, but it's visible enough imo.

At the moment, deleting is only possible from the menu where you can load existing kits.

So to delete one, you have to open the creator, click the “Load” button, then hover over the kit you want to delete and click the trashcan icon.

Looks nice, just the sponsor might be bit too big.

Our brand-new FM online kit creator is now available at fmkitcreator.com, using the same foundations as our existing PES and FIFA kit creators.

Big thanks go to @bolid74 , whose templates were used as reference for some of the ones we've added for this initial launch, as well as to @wfm18 and @DokteurHaisse whose 3d previewer was a great help too and from where we go the 3D model from FM.

What's included?

For the start, we have added 20 FM-specific templates based on different designs from various brands, both from this and last season.

As for graphics and patterns, they are the same ones already available in PES and FIFA, but converted to properly fit the FM kit model.

At the time of writing, there are almost 600 patterns and about 350 graphics available in FM Kit Creator! And we're planning to add more in the future, especially in the way of templates.

Minikits

Minikits, or 2D kits, are very important in the FM experience. We have therefore created a generator that will produce detailed minikits in the default style of the game - just click the 'Minikit' button in the bottom right of the 3D or Texture view, right next to the 'Download' button, to download a minikit that you can directly add to the game.

We will continue to improve the minikit generator, and possibly add more styles of minikits as well, in the future.

As suggested by @wfm18 we are also planning to create a bulk minikit generator where you could drop in any existing 3d kit graphics to be converted.

Proper sleeve graphics

The FM kit model comes with a less than ideal UV mapping (texture layout), which makes it difficult to add seamless graphics to the sleeves.

We've developed a new method from scratch, which aligns patterns and base designs with that mapping. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better than what can be easily achieved in Photoshop or similar software.

Showcase

Just like with the PES and FIFA versions, a Showcase section is also available. Here you can share your kit designs and check out the works of other creators.

Plus

To support development, a Plus membership is available - it's the same one already used for PES and FIFA, so if you are already subscribed there you already have full access on the FM side, too.

With Plus, you get additional save slots (100 or 500, depending on the tier, instead of 10) as well as access to exclusive graphics, patterns and templates. With Plus Ultimate you also get 1-week early access to all content.

I already saw the 3D previewer and used one of the obj files from it for the 3D view. Fixed it a bit and it's looking quite decent now. It's only missing some normal map for folds etc. but not 100% sure if that's a thing in the game.

If @bolid74 doesn't mind we'd love to convert some of them to the required format, which should be a really straightforward process anyway.

As for the converter, we do have one for PES 22/21 to PES 5 and it was our first idea for the FM side of things but ultimately we decided to develop a dedicated creator that includes templates specifically made for the game. Just as an example, collars work very different in FM and would be tricky to convert correctly with such a tool. So we rather invest that time into making a proper creator. The template and texture layout is a bit tricky and not as well laid out as PES or FIFA but it can be done for sure.

If you can set up such a group that would be great - not sure if I have the required credentials as I just joined.

Wasn't aware of that one and it's looking interesting even though it's fairly different from what I can see. The sheer amount of included templates is impressive! Can't hurt to have two anyway, I think.
