I don't know about anyone else but I play network games fairly regularly with mates, and we've always liked the idea of being able to appoint a human player as an u19 manager, teaming up at the same club in different roles. It's the route a lot of managers take to the top, Steve Mclaren, Brendan Rogers etc.

Another thing - I like starting as poor teams generally, sometimes success comes straight away, sometimes not. However, when keeping Zenit Caslav around the top of the Czech 2nd div whilst in administration is pretty much a non-starter in terms of accruing reputation (even though it was bloody solid), taking a fancied team to the title when it would be looked on as a sackable offence if you didn't instantly scores you a juicy increase. Irritating.

What would be the advantage of disabling generated players? You might as well play scenario mode.

Enhanced youth management sounds good, and at the moment it still seems quite sporadic on the recruitment into your academy when you're sitting on excellent facilities.

Good luck mate. Looks like the Russians have really underperformed, their national team is usually full of decent players. Have you got the Hungarian domestic league loaded to help with your talent pool?

Mmm, that is worrying. Is it FM08 you're on? I remember having a Heerenveen save on that game in which I had a good 3 or 4 Hungarian players who provided the foundation of the team. Mostly CM's with outrageous technique.

Just finished Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada - absolutely superb. If you've read Fatherland by Robert Harris then this is probably a bigger better take on a similar plot. WW2 and the underground movement against Nazism. Really interesting stuff.

Trying to summon up a new idea for a career. Thinking of a European league that isn't one of the big hitters, mid-lower table side (not necessarily top div.) that have 10k plus stadium and half decent facilities. Hopefully the emphasis will be on buying youth from within that country/region and I won't be looking to move on. From my quick look before work I found Vojvodina in the Serbian PL who seem to have brought through some decent players in the past.

Any idea's guys?

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the club to be honest. I think the margins are that fine that it's all about having a tight scouting network and using them to hoover up young-ish talent, as a decent player can really shine in that league.

Having said that on my Falkirk save in the six seasons played so far I've won the SPL once and Dundee United three times - Celtic twice and Rangers yet to finish top three. Aberdeen look the most likely to threaten as they create more revenue through youth players, stadium size etc.
