Rafael is not 'poor', he's had one bad game all season and that was against Reading. As for Smalling do you mean 'strong' as a player or 'strong' as in physically. Either way it's a nonsense, I think he'll be the best ball playing centre half in the league in a couple of years.

So you're either criticising Rafael because he had a poor game in his last game or because he was rash when he was younger, and Smalling because, I don't know, he got shoved off the ball by Benekete in one of first games back?

Our defensive issues this year have stemmed from the fact Ferdinand's form has been poor, and the fact that we don't have a midfield player that does an effective job of sitting in front of the defence.

I'm criticising Rafael because he is not a good enough defender, I'm criticising Evra because he's getting old and I'm criticising Smalling because I don't believe he will deliver on his potential.

But actually, I'm not really criticising them, what I've been trying to say is that it seems odd why there is even talk of bringing a forward in, when there are areas that need improving.

Unless you believe you need another forward?

Smalling is fucking awesome and Evans is quality when he's actually using his brain, and his fuck ups are becoming fewer and farther between.

Thats not to mention that Jones is going to be a very, very good centre back so Evans will probably be a back up option going forward anyway.

It's not lazy criticism. Your right back is poor, your left back is old and Smalling isn't, in my opinion, strong enough to make it at your level. So in terms of priorities a forward is the least of your concern.

I think the people complaining about anti-semitic chants at the Leeds game are complete time wasters. If anything it's embarrassing that some in Yorkshire try to keep up the "Lids" ideal, Cussins and Silver... It's bollocks. No one was offended and it was shit chanting. They should be fined for having no humour. If you were offended by the chanting on Saturday then don't go to football.

The Jimmy Saville is a Yid chant typified that. It was so dumb it was funny.

Either way, I think there are plenty of enjoyable performances in this series. Guys like Rothstein and Capone are tremendous.

I watched the whole of the first season and kind of enjoyed it for a while. But into the second series it got to the point where watching one episode took so much out of me I couldn't stand to watch the next. I think I got four episodes into season two. I can tell when I enjoy a television show when I can name characters. I can't even name the guy who is Nucky's cousin or nephew or whatever, the one whose mother bangs the guy who hangs out in New York.

I can not stand Boardwalk Empire. It's just hour after hour of depression. Extremely humourless people having their lives upset by tides of change and no one can stand to point out how dull and soulless everyone is. I can't think of one character whose performance I enjoy, every episode is like taking a bath in dark chocolate.
