It both is and isn't like real life. If a player is key to the squad then naturally you are going to have to spend a small fortune to buy him, however there are also plenty of examples in Football Manager, and this has been the case for perhaps the last 5 or 6 games where an average club has a 'good' player or a top club has an 'average' player and their asking prices are beyond a joke.

Take Lukas Podolski for example, Arsenal bought him for what is believed to be around £10mill this season, Yet that sort of deal for that sort of player in that sort of team is pretty much impossible on Football Manager. I can't remember actually trying to purchase him on FM12, however I would make a wager that getting him would set you back a fair few pennies. The same applies for FM13.

I'm not saying that inflated fee's don't happen, as is seen in the Premier League, transfer window after transfer window when the next PL club wants to spend all their money on Darren Bent, or whoever is having a good season for the first time in their career. What I am saying though is that issues with valuations and the amount that the player can actually be bought for, have existed at many levels of the game, wonderkids or not for a while now.

I think this has been a problem with the game for quite some time now. Where a players value and the amount a club is willing to let him go for is ridiculous.

Lewandowski for example will set you back around £20mill, yet I reckon in the real world your are probably looking at the £10-£15mill mark. Which makes building a squad difficult, because say you have a £30mill budget your looking at a maximum of one big signing and having some change left over.

Then again you do see examples in the real world where Andy Carroll is bought for £30mill...

You could always open up the FM Editor and change the potential abilities of players you think need adjusting. I personally need to up the PA of Seamus Coleman, the guy (in my opinion) is much better than the game gives him credit for, which is why I thought it was a bargain getting him for £3.5mill.

Southampton fourth?

Did they get bought by some oligarch or is Football Manager having one of those moments where all logic abandons the game again?

The studs are raised and at an unnecessary height as the ball was falling. It's a red card card and I can't understand how anybody would argue against that? If Torres meant to get the ball or not, it really doesnt matter, should we stop giving red cards when a goalkeeper takes out a player in a one on one, because the keeper actually meant to take the ball? Those are the rules of the game, and Torres before he developed lead feet, may have done better with that.

Would love to see Iniesta or Xavi win it, they've pretty much ran one of the most dominant teams in footballing history. As per though, gonna be a showdown between Messi and Ronaldo.

Got round to buying F1 2012, could write a small essay on it, about how its the best one yet but at the same time the 500 things they've not fixed that have been wrong since F1 2010 (not knowing weather whilst in garage, too easy to gain places at the start of races, not able to view team mates car setup etc.) but mainly I've just been trying to set a decent laptime at Spa on Legendary with a Torro Rosso using a controller. Not easy.

Slugs. I used to go ape shit when I woke up to find they had sauntered through to the kitchen in my old student house. My housemates or ex would have to help dispose of them.

If I ever had a kid that dressed or looked like this, it would come home from school one day to find the door locks had changed.

Niko was such a miserable emo it was unbearable at times. It should have been a GTA IV as the full game using the story from 'The Ballad of Gay Tony'. As for me GTA has always been ridiculous, dating back from the 2d version where the L2 and R2 buttons made fart noises (not that they should bring that back).

Saints Row in that sense was in a way a kind of reminder of the old days when carriages propelled by men in gimp costumes would explode and scenes where you freefall for about 10minutes whilst jumping through crashing planes and shit.

Hopefully GTA V brings back some of that wacky stuff in the full game, keep some of the sophistication for the general storyline sure, but also make it so that some mental middle-eastern millionaire is occasionally telling me to do crazy stuff whilst blasting missiles around me in a golden helicopter.

She hit the driver while he was driving a bus. She could've killed every single one of those passengers.

Yeah, in which case you'd just drag her off after you'd stopped the bus, not taking away from the epicness of the uppercut and yeah she deserved it. Which is why it sucked she didn't stay down.

It's not about equal rights or anything, its basic man code that you never hit a woman unless its a whole last resort to stop everyone from dying kinda thing.

*edit* - Not the first time I've been called that though, so maybe there is some truth to that statement.
