I've completely lost patience with this Arsenal team, and Wenger. The only player on the pitch that looked like he gave two shits was Jack Wilshere and then later Rosicky and Chamberlain.

What I would give for any player from the 03/04 team to be on that pitch. Not necessarily because they would have changed the game, but because they would have shouted at all the other players for being so shit and uncommitted. Something which I can't imagine Wenger is doing sufficiently (he appears to favour the carrot over the stick).

Tad annoying when you're sniping and a bloody tiger sneaks up and kills you Love the wild life though, adds so much to the game.

I was sneaking into an enemy base, took out the sniper on the roof and disabled the alarm, used my camera to identify all the targets and got ready to take everybody down. Next thing I know a tiger has ran into the base and killed everyone. I just sat their watching it all until everyone died and took the spoils once the tiger returned to the jungle. One of my all time favourite gaming moments.

Spent about 10-15 minutes contemplating between Black ops 2 and Farcry 3. Ended up going for Farcry seeing as im not much of an online gamer anyway and definitely don't regret it. Amazing game so far, gets the right mix between sandbox and story telling right and the ability to play either stealthily (ala Hitman style), sniping from a distance and going all guns blazing. Definitely one to reccomend.

Hull has cheap houses and a big market for students. Over there you would be looking at Cottingham Road, Beverley Road (all small streets off of Beverley Road), Newland Avenue, Princes Avenue, Beresford Avenue, Cranbrook Avenue, pretty much anywhere that connects between the University and the short bus route into the city centre.

For 100k you could purchase a house between 4-5 bedrooms and charge £60 per week to tenants (more if you want to put them in an all inclusive scheme.)

Definitely agree that Wenger needs to leave now. Bring in someone new who will have a month before the transfer window opens to really bring the squad up to shape and more importantly get rid of all the dead weight in this club. He is our greatest ever manager and we would not be where we are now without him in terms of size and infrastructure. But the Premier League has changed so much since we last won anything and even if changing our transfer policy is not an option, at the very least our philosophy needs to be overhauled, something Wenger will never even contemplate.

I did the same as you in the period between my Undergraduate and Masters degree, claiming JSA inbetween as I was entitled to. Basically as has been said so long as your on under 16hours per week you can still claim JSA.

Although if you are actually looking for a part time job or whatever, coming up to christmas pretty much every restuarant/hotel/bar going are looking for staff to work a few days a week but on very long hours. I got a job working at a restaurant serving tables and behind their bar and would surpass 30hours a week working 3 days a week, would get close to £200 a week and have the weekdays to lark about.

From what I've played of Hitman so far I completely agree.

Far too much of the gameplay is either hiding from the police while you escape from somewhere or sneaking into somewhere only to pick up a fuse or something daft.

There are the missions between that though where you are just put on a map somewhere and given a target to kill, which is thoroughly enjoyable. My only issue with that though is the checkpoint system, far too often I get spotted and I restart the checkpoint only to get spotted again really quick because I'm getting frustrated and trying to get to the point where I was before as quickly as possible. I don't see why a simple save and load option isn't available.

Also in the first 30minutes of gameplay I swore Hitman was about to royally rip off Leon.

I purchased David Santon for about £10mill and he turns out great, assistant report marks him at five stars.

M'Vila is as stated a good choice, with Wilshere and Ramsey becoming pretty incredible players assuming you give them plenty of first team football, I'd suggest that you buy a midfielder specifically for the DMC role, Frimpong turns out to be pretty crap.

I bought Koke for that position, although in fairness despite having plenty of technical skill, he isn't the greatest defensive asset.

The deadline for my PhD research proposal is Wednesday at 5pm, to do a PhD in Museum Studies at Brighton Uni (hence why I'm up so late in the days running up to it). Trying to sell it as best as I can by focusing on WW1 remembrance and the upcoming centenary, should hopefully make it relevant and one of their lecturers actually specialises in memory and both world wars. So fingers crossed. Did my BA in History and MA in Public History. So going into new territory with this I suppose.

There is only one AHRC studentship going for this however (14k per annum), If I don't get that then I remain jobless in a part of the country that could not be less suited for graduates with a humanities degree.

From the time I've had available to play it I can confirm that its quite a bargain. The campaign missions are lengthy and numerous as well as having a sandbox mode and there is plenty of humour in it, you can even make yourself Castro, Che, Pinochet, Peron etc. or create your own guy. So decided to give myself the Alcoholic, Womanizer, Pompous traits, rather than anything useful.

Best race of the season. The previous Indianapolis circuit was never too popular and so interest waned which was a shame because the Americans really know how to throw a motor race (see Nascar) but with racing and overtaking like that it can hopefully pick up again over there.

I just watched Carlos parts one through to three. It is basically a big biopic on Carlos the Jackal and how inbetween committing terrorist plots, he would continuously chain smoke and have sex with various prostitutes, whilst enjoying a nice Johnnie Walker Red Label.

I enjoyed it immensely.

Currently submitting a PhD research proposal for a studentship in Brighton and reading this review has now put to rest any doubts I previously had.

what type of sluts are we talking about here? The ones that study something useless like Photography thinking they are doing something beneficial with their lives, when in fact they know deep down they are wasting their time and so their self-esteem and standards are pretty much at that perfect low. Or the ones which possibly have kids and in essence just have the same morals as men?

Because they are wankers.

Pretty much sums up my opinion on the whole matter.

Hamas wants Israel wiped off the map, along with a lot of Israel's neighbours for that matter and regardless of Israel's actions, peace will never be an option for the arab extremists that live in the Middle East.

On the other hand, Israel's treatment of Gaza has been horrific, having stolen fresh water supplies and building camps that in an awful irony draw comparisons to the German ghetto's during WW2.

What happens in the future I am not so sure, but with Hamas firing Iranian made rockets into Israel and recent reports suggesting that there is unclear evidence that Iran's Nuclear programme is peaceful. I can see shit going down pretty quickly.

The result despite fielding a weakened side itself isn't impressive, but its always a good feeling when you make a substitution and they turn a loss into a win in a cup match.

I've found that the less you do with tactics the better you perform which in my opinion is quite the opposite of the game being ultra realistic. In my first season with Arsenal for example I spent ages trying to come up with a tactic that emulates the style Arsenal use in real life, with Cazorla behind the striker, the two wide midfielders/forwards and the two midfielders staying behind, (Mikel being slightly deeper than Wilshere) and adjusting pretty much all of the team settings... Basically the more I tampered the more things would go tits up and I finished fifth behind Spurs.

So in the second season I used the preset 4-5-1 and halfway through the season I am currently top of the league 8 points clear of ManU.

So I suppose a good suggestion would be to stop looking at the Match Engine as a real life simulation, but instead as a piece of software, in which certain aspects work better than others. (e.g. a player in the AMR or AML position told to play as an attacking winger and an attacking Deep Lying Forward seem to notch goals regardless of what you do.)

Without a doubt the worst and most frustrating season I have ever had and before anyone asks, the first thing I tried doing was changing my tactics for away games. This game can go to hell if my next season is the same.

If you change your password on here but they have hacked your hotmail account too, the chances are that they will just send a password reminder to your hotmail account and immediately discover your new password. Your best bet is to change your email account's password as well as secret question and then proceed to change all your other passwords etc.

If that still doesnt work then maybe someone has found a crafty way to plant a keylogger somewhere on your harddrive. Other than that I'm stumped.

Yeah there is no reason why you can't use the editor for your own personal enjoyment. Why anybody would pay 5euros for a piece of software that allows you to change numbers in a game is beyond me.

People charge that much for actual mods of Half-Life games. I would sooner spend several years learning how to make a basic in game editor and then release it for free afterwards.

I think what VP mentioned about the member from another site posting content linking to his site is something very important to take note of. If you go on the site itself you will see it has close to 5,000 likes on Facebook (which is a pretty good indicator of the success he has had) and shows the importance of content on a site. If that site had a forum I like to think it would be doing rather well and all of this has been done by what looks like one guy.

When I was a 'staff member' (I use the word staff loosely when it comes to these things) at Throw-In 6 or 7 years ago written content was a much bigger influence in the football manager community. There was even a dedicated website that linked to new content (FM-Portal?) from across different fansites. What is very important to remember is that a very large majority of people who post on fansites, initially only had the intention of finding something out, and content on who are the best players to buy and how to make a good tactic with the team you have etc. were the example methods of bringing in the punters and hoping they would then stay.

Whats important though rightly, is that you don't force people who volunteer to help run the site to create content and do things they are uncomfortable with or uninterested in. This is after all just a bit of fun and once things begin to get political or autocratic it stops becoming a hobby and the purpose of the entire site has been ruined.

So I guess the jist of what I'm saying is not to make radical changes and piss people off, but at the same time try to encourage content for the site, even if a staff member isn't posting 24/7, if he takes some time out to help with content, then that will in the long term boost the activity of regular and new members.

As far as I was aware there is no actual difference between 2d ME and 3d ME other than graphics. The game plays in the exact same way regardless, only with 3d you get subjected to unbearable animation.

I've found the ME in a lot of ways has improved, for example I think they have fixed how when a striker is in a one on one or in a position they are expected to score, they will often put it away, rather that hit it straight at the keeper. Also some of the short passing play and through ball mechanics with player runs etc. look much nicer than before and it is possible to make a tactic that isn't lump it forward to your star player and wait for him to do something.

There are a few annoying little things I have found however, players do run to an extent like they are escort vans. A defender will go for the ball, not win the ball and run about 10 yards away from the play before being able to slow down, turn around and run after the ball again. I would also say there is a significant gulf in being a home team and away team. Ofcourse you tend to be stronger playing at your home stadium, however in my Arsenal game I can be dominating near enough every home game comfortably and then lose 2-0 away to Reading. This includes making changes to your tactics and set-up to adapt for an away game. It just seems out of nowhere lesser teams will knock in goals regardless.

Actually, the Podolski transfer is one that you do see on Football Manager, since Koln were relegated.

It might also be a part of SI's fight against monthly instalments which causes an issue, but there's a reason Chelsea had to pay around £30M each for the 'three musketeers'

Ok, bad example, and ofcourse Chelsea had to pay massive amounts for Hazard, Oscar and co, because they were the players on form at that time who had made a big name for themselves with lots of potential.

What I'm talking about here are the players who aren't necessarily worldclass or wonderkids that you might try buy as squad players. Their value is £5mill, they are regular squad players under squad status but when you lodge a bid of around 7mill, they will want about 15mill or more.
