Milner should have been booked, and Dzeko should have seen a second yellow for his obscenely stupid dive when he was already on a yellow. Everton have played too well to deserve being camped in their own half, and the ref ought to have leveled up the sides by now.

Hoping Hazard gives them hope at 2-1 and then it stays that way. I win my money, Chelsea are out, and everyone is happy...except Chelsea obviously.

Popped a couple of quid on Chelsea to win and Hazard to score anytime. It was between him and Mata, so I'm a little disappointed.

Yeah, if or when they go down, they'll have one of the most exciting young managers in the Championship who would have probably been in the Championship next season anyway had the Swindon board been more accommodating financially.

He got a mid-table league 2 side promoted and put them in the play-offs for League One and probably would have got them into the Championship had they not lost Matt Ritchie. Besides, it's Paolo di Canio.

I was being sarcastic, I know what the rules are.

So because it wasn't a red card offence, it's totally acceptable to do what he did??

Where the fuck did you pull that from?

Yet earlier today, The FA charged Southampton with a failure to control their players after the Norwich match.

That makes sense.

It does in accordance with the rule set out. Rio's a prick and it was a dumb move, but it wouldn't have been a red card at the time, and it isn't one now. Whereas that incident is definitely in violation of the laws of conduct all clubs have to abide by.

The linesman should be off top-flight duties for a while. Fancy not even knowing the basic rules of the game.

He's trying to win the ball too, obviously. And what other bollocks have I come out with?

It's Arbeloa's fault he got kicked in the chest. The typical dirty, diving, unscrupulous foreigner.

Yes. How dare he get in the way of Luís Carlos Almeida 'English Lionheart' da Cunha trying to control the ball.

Arbeloa puts himself in danger, he runs full pelt at a player about to control the ball, in order to win a free kick, and good for him.

Stupid.

It's not stupid, it was a general question about how people felt about the situation. Besides, in all other professions you would be suspended with pay until your matter is cleared. City would have destroyed Barnsley even if he wasn't playing.

Arbeloa didn't dive, there was contact, just not enough to warrant the red card decision.

It's not even that.

It was clearly just a tactical decision. Welbeck was probably the best player in the tie across the two legs and did a wonderful job on Alonso, RVP played because he's far better at holding the ball up and a better outlet than Rooney and Rooney was fucking wank on the wing in the first leg.

Exactly, I completely agree with that as well.

Seemed he didn't have the luxury of intelligence or vision, either. Shame. What I would say is that Dortmund were apparently fantastic tonight, I think we've said all we can about the ref in the United-Real game.

Interesting point on Twitter- if Nani's accidental, not-looking grazing of Arbeloa constitutes dangerous foul play, then what about the moment when Diego Lopez, whilst looking at Vidic, misses the ball and punishes him in the face whilst trying to defend a corner?

That was years ago, and it was a completely different situation. De Jong's looking at him and slams his studs right into the chest of a static player.

99% of teams would not have acted like that. Manchester United went far too far in complaining. Eroded a lot of the sympathy generated by the decision.

Reckon the De Jong decision was probably playing on the ref's mind.

Your comments are getting dumber and dumber. The De Jong decision?

The ref just cost a lot of these players their last chance at winning a European trophy, against the run of play. A team reaction to a decision depends a lot on the circumstances, if we were being caned and then we got Nani sent off I doubt it would even be an issue, but that decision completely turned the game. Didn't your manager shove a linesman over a much, much smaller and inconsequential decision earlier this season, by the way?

There's quite a big difference about Suarez taking the piss out of Moyes' comments and going up and doing that to the ref for making a mistake.

You mentioned 'class'. The irony ought to be self-evident.

Wow, Keane saying that the ref got it right. Surely he's just trying to be controversial?

that
Keane is like the Morrissey of football, in that he's a cunt with a small but loyal fan-base that thinks his image gives him license to spout bullshit.

Classy United at the end

You've got Suarez doing a pathetic diving celebration as your signature.

Wow, Roy Keane is like a sex addict that has converted to fundamental Christianity. He's so up his own arse about the idea of red cards it's crazy.
