I pre-installed the game with gamepass, and there is an option to change the files in the installation folder.

This year it's possible.

 

I decided to buy FM19, and unfortunately didn't have time to finish the file. So i uploaded as it was in the end of September, players revised as end of last season and world cup, and English Premier League as this year. 1st post updated, the second file is the FM18 version.

Not yet, trying to do the best 1st divisions for now.
But if you have any suggestions of highly underrated and overrated players, i can have a look.

I'm working on a file to FM18, but only did the revision based in last season and world cup. Right now I'm checking lineups and manager formations to update, only did Premier League, in a week or two it's almost done for 7 top European leagues and major teams in Europe.

I created some players missing ingame, i edited the "sortitoutsi.net Data Update - General Player Fixes.fmf" file, so if you want to use them, change this file with the one below:

In spite of being in the system, the loan isn't loading ingame.

The players price is based not only in player current ability and potential but also reputation.
If you check Everton in transfermarkt, he's the third most expensive, even thought far from being the best of the team.
I updated my file, in spite of being unofficial, try to start a season with it, most of your problems will be over.

Reviewed all teams of the 12 top leagues in Europe as well as national team callups around europe in the last year.
Most of the lineups will be similar to reality, i hope.

Romania:
(P) Sepsi and Juventus Buc

Champions League:
- Maribor is in Europa League and not in Champions, no Slovenia champion in UCL ingame (hope changing that won't destroy the other qualified teams)

I posted a file that's compatible with the update which change a lot of players CA CP and attributes.
I don't remember changing foyth, but Sanchez it's clearly better.

I'm glad to know you liked. Every year i change some CA/CP before the season start, but this year i had a little more time, so i changed a lot of them.
Since that day, i did some minor tweaks to the db and changed some players present in Euro under 21.
Before you start a new game, i can upload the most recent version.

You can check my file, some threads below, I updated each player CA/CP based in last season.

This file only changes player current abilities and potential (CA/CP), as well as some player attributes to reflect new CA and PA. It's fully compatible with the official and great sortitoutsi update.
I reviewed the top 11 european leagues, all teams in first division of the most important ones and the only the bigger clubs from other ones.
It has more than 10000 changes, with the objective of reflecting the new season teams quality. Many people doesn't like to play with custom db that change the CA and CP, however the game without it doesn't reflect the reality, because too much players evolved since the last official update 6 months ago (Mbappé for example was very weak).

The problem is for some people a lot of players will be overrated and other ones underrated, we all feel it about the official FM db, and of course this file will be the same.
However, all these changes will be more similar to FM 2018 db than the current db, that's for sure. It changes the game, to some sort of "FM 2017.5".

Installation: Put the file in the editor data main folder.

Next version if anyone interested will be mid/end September which would contain the new season manager preferred formations and new signings that started better than expected this year.

The problem is with the game code, no workaround is possible. However you have a few alternatives:
a) Put Man Utd as champions league winner, so the English teams in uefa competitions are correct, however you mess fifa world club cup and history.
b) use real results file, but many teams qualified to uefa Europa league and champions league will be wrong.

I am updating the national team callups and goals, at least the biggest nations, I will upload the file when finished.

We should do in the end of the market a player cleansing file like last year, ie players bought in 2016 must be changed in the editor to the previous year, if not the game assume that they just arrived and we can't sell them.

What would be cool is player history of 2016/2017 season, but would imply so much hours.

Is it compatible with sortitoutsi official database update?

Look at the pictures, started a new file and only changed spanish and english teams. They're correct, with Liverpool in UCL, 4 teams in groups and only 2 in Europa League. The main problem is that Man Utd would be the UCL champion and would be in World Club Cup. No team is missing, what changed was the 5th spanish team.

If you use real results, the cup winners won't be the real ones as most of the european leagues, so Europa League, UCL and supercups will be very different from 17-18 season.

I'm not saying that this way is better than the default file from the update, it's just an alternative, for those who want Liverpool in UCL.
Anyone knows if FM 2017 ingame editor allow us to change the history of competitions? That way would be possible to fix it ingame.

Yes, that's a good solution for those who want to use real results.
However, i like to start in 2016, so this is an alternative for people who don't want to use real results file.

I tried to figure why the game accepts Sevilla by default as the 5th team in Champions League, but not Man Utd in this season. So I started from scratch, only doing some combinations between Spanish and english teams. I could put the 5 teams from england in Champions, simply by defining as UCL champion Man Utd and as UEL champion Real Madrid. The european supercup this way is correct as well as Europa League.
A new problem is Man Utd in World Club Cup.

Probably as Barcelona was the previous champion, maybe that's the reason there were 5 teams from Spain.
It's not perfect, but it's an alternative for those who want this fixed.

Probably it will be added later, not all divisions ended right now.
We have to wait, until there.

I noticed many transfers of next season are already being made in the update. There will be a mixture of squads between the two seasons. Other problem will be some as future transfers and other done in the beginning of the season. So, who wants to start a save with the most accurate squads of current season cannot use the update anymore.

That's not necessarily a problem and we can start the work to next season and use a previous version if we want to play with 2016/2017 season. However in this transition, I have some questions:
- Will there be a reset in all loans, and we should put only the new ones? Would be great not to cancel all loans all over the world, that would be time consuming.
- Future transfers are going to be reset also, so we could do them as current transfers?
- Should we use the correct real date of contact expiration, ie if we want a one year contract, if we choose until 2018, in the update it will be converted to 2017, as the game occurs one year before?

When choosing the database dimension, just choose custom and then choose the divisions you want to load.

Maybe the reset is the best way to avoid duplicates and full compatibility with the new patch. I am revising some of the missed transfers already done in 17.0 db, and we are not so far right now of full authenticity, at least in European top first divisions.
In a few weeks it will be even better.
