Hi,

I tried to figure why the game accepts Sevilla by default as the 5th team in Champions League, but not Man Utd in this season. So I started from scratch, only doing some combinations between Spanish and english teams. I could put the 5 teams from england in Champions, simply by defining as UCL champion Man Utd and as UEL champion Real Madrid. The european supercup this way is correct as well as Europa League.
A new problem is Man Utd in World Club Cup.

Probably as Barcelona was the previous champion, maybe that's the reason there were 5 teams from Spain.
It's not perfect, but it's an alternative for those who want this fixed.

Yes, that's a good solution for those who want to use real results.
However, i like to start in 2016, so this is an alternative for people who don't want to use real results file.

Is there no way it can be done without the real results etc. It has being done on another site but the latest update on that is buggy now.

nope its hard coded I believe the workaround gives you the right team not ideal but thats what I will use

will start a save in about 3 weeks most of the majorsummer transfers will be done..hopefully by then

if its been done it means another team who should be there is missing out

Look at the pictures, started a new file and only changed spanish and english teams. They're correct, with Liverpool in UCL, 4 teams in groups and only 2 in Europa League. The main problem is that Man Utd would be the UCL champion and would be in World Club Cup. No team is missing, what changed was the 5th spanish team.

If you use real results, the cup winners won't be the real ones as most of the european leagues, so Europa League, UCL and supercups will be very different from 17-18 season.

I'm not saying that this way is better than the default file from the update, it's just an alternative, for those who want Liverpool in UCL.
Anyone knows if FM 2017 ingame editor allow us to change the history of competitions? That way would be possible to fix it ingame.

Utd should be in the UCL cup so dont understand why you say that
and why would they be in club world cup its the winners of the UCL that go in that not the europa

re in game editor it doesnt allow you to do that only pre game editor

unable to look at the pictures as everytime I click on them they just go huge

and this is a matter of each to their own I want the 2017 transfers to be just that take place in 2017 moving them to 2016 I dont like
