We made hard work of getting three points from bottom of the table Rotherham but three points we got. Good to see Atsu bagging his first goal.

Many fans online already calling for Bobby Di Matteo to go, I don't normally like to see the sacking of a manager so soon but I have to say his tactics have been woeful, there, two shots on target against Preston after spending £50M+ is simply not good enough, and having thrown away leads in the last five minutes of five different games.
Wouldn't mind Steve Bruce even though he might not be a popular choice due to being an ex Brum manager, we know how well Alex McLeish turned our right?

But then again, Aston Villa have only lost 3 games this season in the league and that's the same amount as ourselves. The difference between ourselves and Aston Villa is that Villa have drew 7 of their opening 11 games and that's why they're near the bottom - they could've easily won some of them draws, or lost them.

After they suspended him pending an internal investigation, Derby are apparently "poised" to sack Nigel Pearson and... reappoint Shteve McClaren!

Hahahaha, that would be gold.

And then they dropped down to League 1. Hopefully Sunderland do the same.

Meh, I'd rather see them drop to the Northern Premier League.

What a shame, Payet United lost again. Hope they go down with Sunderland.

Sunderland will never (more than likely) get relegated, they're like what Wigan used to be like in the PL.

Sending Matz Sels hate-Tweets to the point where he closes his account is hardly helpful to his confidence though. But clearly Twitter is not a place for sanity.

I really struggle to understand people who do things like that, what does it actually prove? They're just scum.

On the 'keeper situation, I've read that Karl Darlow is expected to get a start on Wednesday night when we're at home to the leaders Norwich.

About time we scored late on rather than concede.

And you could've ended up winning the game as well. So frustrating to be in control for so long and then end up hanging on ffs.

It's been a while since I've seen us play well at Villa Park, 1-0 up at half time and hopefully we can finish the job in the second period.

Well, that's a joke.

Home to Preston, if we can avoid any complacency against our Champ 'rivals' then it's a great chance to progress.

Face Wolves tonight at St. James', looking to put right what happened on Saturday when Wolves somehow (and deservedly so) won 2-0. Potentially crashing out tonight isn't the be all and end all as the league and securing promotion back to the Premier League needs to be the #1 priority but nonetheless, I'd still love us to progress to the next round.

Going to the Zorya game this month and also the Fenerbache game next month.

Hopefully the defeat in Holland will see us field a strong side for both games!!

You back in Ireland fella?

We win 6-0 away on Tuesday, Wolves lose 4-0 at home on Tuesday but yet they beat us today at St. James'?

Fuck, I hate the Championship.

Didn't catch the second half but Dundalk picked up a credible 1-1 draw away to AZ Alkmaar despite playing the final eighteen minutes with ten men, Kilduff equalised in the final minute to salvage an unlikely point - will need to see the goals on the highlights programme.

@Shedender What? Go back and secure the Gibraltar Rock Cup? I've more important things to do! Thanks for the feedback!

True. You still have unfinished business at Portadown - ya know, not getting sacked after about an hour in charge.

One league I can never manage in as I haven't got time to learn the drafts etc!

This.

I've tried it on a previous Football Manager and just couldn't get into it. Might try it for FM17 though.

Our campaign began with a scoreless draw away against Czech Republic which I'm satisfied with as we didn't create too much and a Czech fella missed an empty net which we really should've buried, oh well, at least I got a laugh from that miss.

And it's San Marino up next in Belfast next month and that should really be maximum points (stranger things have happened in football) before facing a daunting trip to face the World Cup holders Germany just three days after and I hope that won't be a mauling.
