I'm not entirely sure why but if we want 4 out-and-out CB's, I guess it works.

I suppose because we got rid of two centre backs in the close season (Taylor/Coloccini) then it makes sense to buy two CB's.

Finished that way as well, not too bad! Shame no away goal.

Still a good result for City though and if they can produce the same performance at Turner's Cross then they must be confident in progressing to the next round - it could go the other way and they could easily get hammered at home, which I'm sure no one wants to see after they done the hard work remaining in the contest.

West Ham should progress, it'll be the first competitive West Ham match at the Olympic Stadium I'm almost sure so I'd suspect the pressure will be on them to perform, I do recall West Ham struggling to beat Birkirkara in the second qualifying round last season though.

Aberdeen though, I expect them to be eliminated, they really needed to win the home leg vs. Maribor to have any chance.

Cork are playing particularly well away to Genk, they're 1-0 down at the moment though.

Take it Jordan Stewart had no interest in renewing his contract @HockeyBhoy? If not, quite surprised you let him go.

I'm glad Newcastle U21's rejected a chance to participate, it should be for League 1/League 2 clubs only as per the norm.

It's pretty mental to see Argentina struggling in a qualifying group, or maybe not as I've just realised you're in 2030.

No, PayPal is the only way to get a Premium Membership I'm afraid. You can always close you're PayPal account once you become one.

Good to see you're continuing to update this @HockeyBhoy, things aren't looking too bad. Andy Morrow is a good signing (gutted he retired at the end of last season irl) but just don't expect him to bang the goals in left, right and centre pal.

French toast is a great way to make use of stale bread.

It's something I actually haven't had in a while, need to have it one of these days.

What the hell happened against Tunisia @Ipswich Knights? Mental scoreline and I don't think anyone is surprised you got sacked. Quite surprised you got the Brazil job but yeah, best of luck with it.

You'll get sacked though eventually, seems to be the norm for ye lad.

Newcastle's squad size is ridiculous, surely you'd need to sell a few before you can even think of signing anyone else.

Meh, Newcastle always seem to get a fuck load of injuries so a large squad could help.

Just remember, Real Madrid once signed Thomas Gravesen.
