@ivywinchester, can you use the upload image function to provide us with the original source image without the background removed?

We want the player's face to fill the canvas for the 250px cutout, which would mean cropping the image along these red lines:

At the same time, we want all cuts to include a little bit of collar. Since in some sources like this one, the person in the image may have a longer neck than usual, this would be quite difficult to achieve naturally.

Here's a video of the process on how to nudge the collar upwards:

first face is wrong player

Thanks for heads-up 🍻

When the source is as low-quality as the second one, it's best to have the cut in 180x180. A bit of extra brightness wouldn't hurt too 😉

Will fix both myself, no worries, just keep it in mind for the future 👍

@ragadely, good effort, but this cut has a fair bit of snow:

Snow is the colour from the background of the cut which was not totally removed. It is often white (hence ‘snow’) but it can be other colours. It can often be easily removed by putting the cut through remove.bg.

Here's a video on how you can easily remove any remaining snow thereafter within Photoshop:

I'll fix this myself too, but please keep this in mind for future cuts 👍

Too small @hunter1722, and the current cut is very good and quite recent anyway.

@mtruesler, this is much too small to get a worthwhile cut from. Also, when you have multiple persons in a source, it's a good idea to tell us which should be cut 😉

Assume the attached screenshot should be enough? Number in bottom left and path at the top. Can't find where I saw the ‘whats in this update’ page but those are all the faces that I have, the rest are just their default FM26 black blank faces.

You have around 200k missing images, so I think the best solution is to download the most recent pack from scratch and use Winrar to extract it.

Hi, have downloaded FM26 Cut out Megapack (14gb folder iirc, so definitely the proper one) and have it in my graphics folder, however only some of the faces are being replaced (Marquinhos, Alex Valle, Courtois) , others are not (Mbappe, Yamal, Nico Paz for example). I think I've noticed a pattern that the faces that ARE being replaced are the faces in the (included in this update) section on the download page, faces not in this bit are not being updated. It says there are 353,109 faces in my folder, much less than the 500 and something K it should be. I dont think I've downloaded just an update folder as the folders still massive, what could be the issue here? Have downloaded face packs the last few FM's and not had an issue

Can you provide screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder?

no i don't, i only deleted iconfaces. can you please provide me a torrent link for the complete pack?

The config file is what maps images to people in-game. Without it, the megapack is useless.

Delete what you have, and start again from scratch. Follow the steps in the FAQs at the top of this page. Follow carefully the steps to subsequently and chronologically install the update packs to be fully up-to-date.

what am i doing wrong?

The full megapack has over 550,000 images and you have less. Not sure how you've managed that.

Do you have a file titled config.xml in your faces folder?

I have downloaded cutout facepack (the 14GB one) i installed it in the graphics folder and deleted iconfaces, yet it doesn't work. can anyone help please

I've moved this to the correct place. Can you provide screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder?

@Sebban95, in line with the guidelines, images like this for people who have been cut recently shouldn't be requested.

@Namelessasdfghjkl;

For future cuts, keep in mind that the face should be straight-on, rather than slanting or at angle; i.e. the eyes are ideally in a straight line and parallel to the top or bottom of the cut.

Hello! I also have a question: to be able to complete my own image packages, do I have to be on staff or is there a function that someone gives you? It's just a curiosity. Thanks

That's only afforded to staff members. And before you ask again, you won't be one any time soon.

@SKOPEL21, use a bit of common sense, please. Images like this are too small to be worth requesting, let alone cutting.

@Liapwhy, for future reference, when you have a lot of images to upload, then you should upload them as a pack instead of individually and save the both of us some time.

You can also upload up to 50 images per pack instead of just a maximum of 3 when done individually.

@thulium, I appreciate the work you're doing and I know we must seem somewhat over-demanding, but do consider whether a person has had a cut recently, and whether it's worth cutting another image from him again just yet. There are thousands of pending images, which might be more worth cutting, for example.

It's not snow. This is actual lighting from his hair. Anyways, will remove it.

Please start using the upload multiple function, instead of uploading them one by one. Saves everyone a bit of time 😉

@Daniel Ewe Brightening darker images like this one always looks better in-game. The easiest way is to go to this tab in Photoshop:

and tweak the brightness slider.

There is also a Photoshop action file, available for download here, which contains a lot of common actions, including one for brightening, for ease of use 😉

That's possible, but I think it would have been easier for him to mention you than to upload the same photo again.😅

True 🙂
