Do you see the default unbranded kits, or do you see an empty space? Is this for an existing save game, or a new career?

Depends on the data updates and whether they fix the same things as this file. Impossible to give a blanket answer, but I imagine they should be able to happily co-exist in most if not all cases.

More info is needed. Might be related to the official update and not this file, and “they don't work” isn't exactly descriptive. Do you get wrong kits or no kits at all, for example?

@Numerator, what are we supposed to do with the missing part of the head? I understand sources may be difficult to find for obscure people, but it's best not to request anything at all, frankly.

Tbh there were several images in this pack and many others who were released at the time with the different UIDs as added in the update data pack, and subsequently changed to the correct UIDs afterwards. I don't really have any way of knowing about these 😢

@MessiGoat, as per the guidelines, if a person has had a cut produced recently, there's no need to request them again, or at least unless they've changed their look considerably.

@RockD87, as explained yesterday, we want our cuts cropped closer to the chin, nudging their collars up if necessary.

@stefanraven, good work but I've noticed in several of your cuts that it looks like you're adding a green hue to all your cuts, or some sort of similar effect. I'm not sure what's your thought process behind it since it makes the faces look a bit less life-like imo.

Adding auto-contrast to washed-out sources like this will give them a more vibrant look @stefanraven. Something to keep in mind for future cuts 😉

They're only there for people still playing FM24; they're not needed for FM26 👍

@NikkoZen For future cuts, keep in mind that the face should be straight-on, rather than slanting or at angle; i.e. the eyes are ideally in a straight line and parallel to the top or bottom of the cut.

No attitude, it was a genuine question to see whether you had downloaded it in some way in which you did not see the message or whether you just hadn't paid any attention to it. If it wasn't clear enough, then maybe it needs to be changed to avoid the situation repeating itself.

It also made me realise that I forgot to include the usual text in big font explaining the issue in the release post - so I've now edited it accordingly 👍

@RockD87, good work, but a few things to keep in mind. I'll fix these myself, but I will reject any further uploads which don't take the below into consideration.

a) we want the player's face to fill the canvas for the 250px cutout, which would mean cropping the image along these red lines:

At the same time, we want all cuts to include a little bit of collar. Since in some sources like this one, the person in the image may have a longer neck than usual, this would be quite difficult to achieve naturally.

Here's a video of the process on how to nudge the collar upwards:

b) when you have a lot of images to upload, then you should upload them as a pack instead of individually and save the both of us some time.

You can also upload up to 50 images per pack instead of just a maximum of 3 when done individually.

c) the left half of the face is too shrouded in shadow in these cuts, and they can be tweaked to be a bit brighter by clicking ctrl+L and decreasing the gamma level from 1 to 1.15, or whichever figure makes the image look a bit clearer 😉

@Kvater, please keep an eye out for snow and crop closer to the top of the head.

@Aled James good effort, but this cut has a fair bit of snow:

Snow is the colour from the background of the cut which was not totally removed. It is often white (hence ‘snow’) but it can be other colours. It can often be easily removed by putting the cut through remove.bg.

Here's a video on how you can easily remove any remaining snow thereafter within Photoshop:

Enlarging an image makes it no better; this is no good.

Much too small to be worth cutting.

As already mentioned yesterday, we don't need to know the provenance of each image. We have hundreds of requests a day, and the information adds very little. Either it's a good source, or it's a bad one, and where it comes from makes very little difference.

Sorry, rejected the image by mistake. Marked it as WIP solely so that no one else happens to take it on in the meantime. It's all yours if you're cutting him 👍
