People have different opinion on the ability of players, hence why we don't do it. Lots of people in the community don't like an update if people play around with the CA / PA's of players.
From an SI point of view, it is down to licensing with starting in the future, plus they want you to buy the next version of the game. We do have a custom start date here:

But I am pretty sure this only works for FM18.

You will have to manually edit the CA/CP in the editor.

Sorry @Jotew for some odd reason my responses to yourself were deleted
I enabled the deal (shortly after this post) after receiving some lovely messages behind doors. Fear not the deal is enabled, sorry for any hassle / upset caused.
The other deals will be enabled in time, again sorry.

See below for response ... no medical completed, therefore it hasn't gone through. Clubs have basically acknowledged a deal is in place.
Just to quote from your Barca source ... "The agreement is for the next three seasons and is pending the medical examination that the player will undertake over the course of the next few days."
Just relax and the deal will go through when it is ready.

He's yet to go through the medical or be presented as a player ... still a bit to go. Both have confirmed a deal is in place. But he hasn't moved yet.

The Promotion and Relegation File is causing the conflict.
Lots of the promotions are already in the league changes file that is provided in the update.

I have seen / heard myself that he is about to take the new phoenix Bari club over.
On FM ... it cannot be replicated as straight forward as you think. Switching Aurelio De Laurentiis to Bari would leave Napoli without a chairman then. . Like I said, it will be dealt with potentially in an update file that has to be done manually.

He is the main owner of Napoli though, as it stands he cannot control both sides. This is something @TheMinsterman might well look at.

Started a long term save with Sheffield FC, currently battling it out in the Premiership. Aim is to develop youth players from within.
Probably going to do one of these saves soon:
Aberystwyth Town / Welsh Prem Side to Glory - See how far I can take a Welsh Prem side in Europe.
1860 rebuild - Had a soft spot for these boys for years, gutted to see what happened to them a season ago. Now back in Bundesliga 3, would be an interesting re-build.
Holland Rebuild - Fancy taking Ajax and the Holland national team and rebuild both.
Also fancy a career in Africa too, a journeyman. Would love to manage Liberia and find the next George Weah ...

Ampadu returns to the fold, and I am excited for his future in the game. George Williams got a call up this time, lots of pressure in the media and I have relented to it.
Lady luck on our side, got away with a draw and walking away from Moscow with a vital point. Woodburn is a god amognst men.
Not the strongest performance, bar from Woodburn and the ever present Gunter.
How we didn't score more goals is beyond me? Very disappointing. Not how I wanted to end this round of fixtures.
Woodburn ... unreal talent. David Brooks came to the fore here and if he can perform well for his club Sheffield United, he could well feature more regularly for us.
