I'm not using any other database that changes players, so it's odd.

Edit: Actually, if you rename the file so it's loaded alphabetically first it works fine.

I'm probably mistaken, but I'm sure there was a time (FM24?) when this worked. I don't recall creating competitions and dealing with Parthenope or Real San Sebastian, but it's a long time ago now.

I think perhaps the Brazilian clubs always showed as FLA etc?

So, using the resource archiver to compress my logo's into an FMF file has always worked but doesn't now?

That's annoying. The FMF files load faster and I get much snappier performance than 25Gb of single 1kb files.

Could this be because I've kept the FM24 files intact? The Small folders need to be removed? ALT folders, where they exist?

Take a look at the charts here, it's an idea of where a GTX 1660 Super (for example) will stack up against the recommended RTX 2060.

Obviously there's a lot of more detailed benchmarks, but Toms just happens to have something vague with GPU's in and around the 2060 in a chart.

Processor is fine. 

4GB VRAM 3050 is about 50% slower than a 2060 which irrc is also 6GB VRAM. You might need to lower some graphic settings But it's hard to know at this point whether the recommended settings from sports interactive relate to running everything on max or are merely based on a reasonable performance. This is subjective.

Likewise, 16 GB of RAM is probably sufficient. But 32 GB of RAM doesn't hurt anyone, especially with background processes.

Yeah, seeing some new animations, but not a new engine under the hood.

I've played since 1992, but it's been more and more laptop on the commute or around my young family over the years and it's not a game I'll sit at a desktop for hours for.

If a pretty overlay is all Unity gives us, while taking the game out of the reach of iGPUs, I shall happily move on. It's not as if FM24 wasn't boring and the match engine terrible, plus the absence of 25 has been a timely reminder of how many other things I can play when I have time.

Deeply concerned that this is merely a visual overhaul. In which case it's a reskinned FM2#…

Safe to say running this on a decent laptop with an iGPU is going to be hard now, unless using 2D.

Even the Radeon 890M, which I think is AMD's top iGPU(?) is 60-63% slower than the 5600XT in recommended specs. 

I'm not sure I'll return to FM on that basis. It's not something I'd waste time on my desktop with and I've found many other things to play without the great time-hole of FM and I dont want a chunky gaming laptop.

I've had similar years. The absence of FM25 just means a renewed determination to make FM24 more varied and interesting. I'll be back in the Editor next week given any FM fix before November 25 will be FM24 now.

The SI model does look cartoony, I agree. Sadly for the reasons I previously stated, they are unlikely to provide realism akin to the communities work without an AI, and that will involve licensing in one way or another.

Either way, they've got too much on their plate to improve that now. I don't understand the point of complaining about one of so many shoddy features when the community does a better job anyway. It's a non issue.

I confess to adding a salary cap or max wage to all the major leagues in the past, which doesn't work either, you just end up with loads of free transfers because AI clubs can't manage squads or finance effectively.

Can't wait to see the meltdown of entitlement, faux outrage, and pearl clutching over at SI Forums but have to say it's made it easier to skip this one.

I'm not buying a game in March that I'll lose interest in with the end of the season at start of May. Like a lot of people, my enthusiasm for football peaks when it's actually being played. So this makes life easier.

That said, it's a ducking computer game and I'm, not going to get my knickers all twisted in a demonstration of snowflake prepubescent teenage angst.

FM24 only got 452hrs compared to the usual 1000+ on account of getting boring and bloated year on year, but I'm going to have to reinstall for an FM fix this winter.

I think potential should be fixed as a concept. After all, Kalvin Phillips potential isn't the issue, the lack of realising it is the issue. Wasting away at City, greed over ambition, the inevitable mental health damage of all the criticism and sense of failure will all have stalled his progress.

FM doesn't handle PA well at all. It's binary, not dynamic, not enough factors play into a player reaching a peak and to many players do reach the PA too easily. 

For every overrated player on FM there are several who have a much lower estimated potential. SI needs an overhaul here if anything, the PA system is awful in my view.

Nothing to suggest it has. The game has some questionable finances. I've seen huge clubs relegated and lose absolutely no sponsorship despite languishing in the 2nd tier for years - that's broken as all hell.

So this leaves me wondering whether a Ryzen AI 9 365 with 880M iGPU is going to be sufficient. I've been lining up laptop replacements and putting it off to see what FM25 specs are like (ignoring the fact the game might be a minimum viable product like CM03/04)

I don't want to have to sit at the desk to play FM, but I recall FM23/24 looking a tad rough on a 780M or Intel Iris Xe and lagging like hell at 60FPS in games.

This has been broken and irrelevant for as long as I can recall. It's one of the many screens in FM where you can literally hit SPACE and ignore it as cosmetic fluff.

I see Shaun has Onedrive.

Onedrive Recycle Bin. It'll be there. It's my usual fall back for calamity of this nature assuming FM folder location is in your documents folder.

Click the Onedrive Icon in taskbar and hit recycle bin…. it'll take you to Onedrive Web. Sort my date for easier access, think default is something else.

There are issues with anything outside of ‘personal use’ with AI. SI will likely need an expensive licence. It's staggeringly obvious, or should be, that SI can't just rinse an AI for 500000 faces, nor can it use an AI freely within game to generate on the fly without either a licence or their own model.
