I imagine he played them 3 teams during the normal league then again either in the semis or finals. Could happen. I played Newcastle 4 times in my first season, the normal 3 times in the league stage then lost to them in the semis. They went on to win though so not too bad.

Not only dd Harry finish as top scorer for me, he also took the award for most assists as well.

So completed my first season, and a mixed bag. Slow start to the year, but once I got the team playing to my tactics they went on a run which saw us go from 8th to 1st in the space of 3 games. Stayed there until the end of the season, and came top of the league.

League 25, plus loss in major semi final which is 2, so 27 in total for League campaign

Aiming to improve in season 2. Tied Harry down to a new contract fairly early on so no worries there.

Lowestoft and Chorley off the top of my head. But after a couple of days in game, their manages either resigned or were sacked. But I couldn't apply to manage them.

Looks great, thanks for the effort. Can I just ask why I cannot select to play as certain teams in the 2030 upload? Was going to choose a couple of teams but they were greyed out and unable to manage them. No big deal, just wondering if there is something I am missing.

Got to think he knew something was coming, that speech on RAW sounded like he knew the end was near. Agreed, nice to see him get inducted. At least he was there for it, unlike Randy Savage when they eventually induct him.

Just started the save, not sure how much I will get done this week as fighting a nasty case of food poisoning so might be quite behind others doing this challenge. Good luck to everyone, and let's hope someone can stop toneguy from running away with the lead after this challenge.

Try winning trophies with Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United, Man City or Chelsea using only British players. I did that once, got sacked halfway through the season as I was 13th.

Or edit a club in the Premier League to make them bankrupt (change money, etc) and see if you can avoid relegation.

Well, promoting the Forum, links to challenges. One idea I had was to put a challenge into each newsletter and then run it for a few weeks and have the results up in the next newsletter. For those who like writing their careers as a diary/story, I might feature one of them each release. Or a few of them. Like a 'this is getting a lot of interest, if you haven't already seen it check it out'.

In short, anything to do with FM is fair game. Tactics, guide to best players to sign, skins, mega packs etc. I will be making a start later on, so if you have anything to contribute let me know via PM.

It is amazing that a company like EA Sports can continue providing such crap servers. Was unable to sign into my EAS FC account this morning for 3 hours. Gave up in the end, tried after a 30 minute break and it signed in. Luckily it awarded me all the XP points I had earned during my 4 hour gaming session this morning.

Right, my last post I had 105 points. I lost the final which earned me another 10 points. Making 115.

However, the end of season review was not all that good and my 2 year contract was not renewed. So in essence I was sacked. Therefore with deductions, I am out after 2 seasons with 90 points.

Enjoyed this challenge, hoping I can fare better on the next leg of this tour. Had never played in Portugal before this challenge and am enjoying it so if another team picks me up then I will carry on in Portugal.

I look forward to getting the newsletter done and sent out monthly (with some help obviously) for members to download. At present, the aim for me is to have a copy of the newsletter done so members can download it for various things. Kindle, Apple products, Android, and old fashioned PDF. If there are any things that you think should be included in the first edition then shoot me a PM.

I will be making a start tomorrow sometime on it, and am working to a deadline of April 16th for publishing my first newsletter here. I look forward to getting to know you better over the coming years.

Think I could be out after 2 seasons. Lost the final, slammed the ref in the press conference which led to a touchline ban and then had a massive disagreement with the board about holding a trial day. I have leaked it to the press about our clash, and been summoned to a meeting. If I go, I might still end up sacked. If I refuse to attend I definitely end up sacked. Weighing up my options now as to whether I drop out or not. Board seem to block everything I ask for.

They went down first season for me, so no wins over them second season.

So I got one win over FC Porto which is 5. 1 win against Sporting which is 5. Third in league is 10 points, league cup losing Semi finalist is worth 5 and will update after I have played the Cup final against FC Porto. An exit in the first KO round gets me 5 points.

So all in all, before factoring in the last fixture I have gained 30 points this season. I make that 105 in total so far before the last fixture to come.

I finished my second season this morning before going out for the day. Will sit down after I have food and work out the final points tally. I ended up third in the league this season though, so not going to be troubling the top of the challenge leader board I am afraid.

Absolutely fuming. Bloody Porto scored 4 in the first half and that was it. Benfica never stood a chance. Got a consolation goal back but we still lost. Final score FCP 5 - 1 SLB. Not happy.

Do we get any points for winning/losing the equivalent of the Community shield or is viewed as nothing worth winning?

I would imagine any points scored up until being sacked would still count. In theory, you might not end up with minus 25 points. Would be up to the challenge setter though.

Wanted some extra cover in the goalie department as Artur got injured for a month. So I thought I would do some scouting, then get a message from an agent offering him to me for a few hundred thousand. Thought he is a good goalie, I'll take a punt on him. Worst transfer signing I have ever done on FM.

Another stroke of luck for me is Friedel's contract is expiring at the end of June, so that will give me an extra £50k a week to spend on wages.

Club is now in the red, and so 4 of my best players from the title winning season are being eyed up. One has already signed for a new team, so if I can scrape enough of a wage budget, the expired contracts search here I come.

Well, that is season 1 done. A league win on GD in the end. Feeling drained now. Their equivalent of the FA Cup final went to extra time. Porto scored a goal that was well offside but the ref allowed it. Git. Luckily we won in ET. Just listing the points below.

And just after I posted that comment, Porto lost 4-0 to a team down in 13th! Now with 2 games left, Porto lead with 64 points and a difference of +38, whilst I am second with 63 and a difference of +39. Finely poised for the last 2 games. I need to win my next one against Braga who are third but 12 behind me. Down to me and Porto for the title. Could go down to the last day of the season.

Now with 3 games to go I am 4 behind Porto. Going to take a bloody miracle now to win the league. So cross with the team. Think selling a couple of the lazy ones is in order before the next season. Not very amused.

Lost around £6.75 million last month, but somehow the projection is I will be making a profit of £5.16 million over the season. Be a loss by May at this rate. Oh well. Just won a derby match against Sporting, went 2 up got pegged back to 2 all. Gave the team an absolute bollocking at half time and they came out and won the game 7-3. Great result! Puts me back top of the league, now 3 clear but FC Porto have a game in hand so more like a 1 point lead.

And from where it looked like I would win the league easily, now lost 2 in a row and had my lead cut to 1 point. Last few games are going to be tough for me I think. What makes it worse is that it is one of the rivals, FCP, that are right on my tail. Trouble is, do I muck around with the tactics at this late stage or leave it and see what I can salvage in the remaining 9 games?

Lisbon are down in 13th, 1 point above the relegation zone. And the other rivals are bottom of the league!

So if I can win my semi final in the Taca de Protugal, I face one of FC Porto or Belenenses. Looking forward to it.

7 clear after 17 games. Only another 13 games left and unless I have an Arsenal style disaster league is mine.
