This is something SI have introduced, citing licensing restrictions. I do not believe it’s in the community’s hands to solve, unfortunately.

FM26 is not able to successfully process/handle more than one image with the same filename - even if they are different game item types.

To work around this, the faces were prefixed so there were no instances of duplicated file names when using our mega packs together.

This is a bug we'd previously encountered - and tackled. I suspect it has been reintroduced following the recent data re-processing associated with the FM26.3 update.

Site Admin will get it tackled, no doubt - I'll flag to him.

Acknowledging - I can replicate this. I've flagged to the site admin - it'll get looked at and sorted ASAP.

Just to confirm/acknowledge, for @eunsagn, @Bueban & others:

We think there is a bug that may be causing these duplicates to appear in-game. Many, if not all, of these players have previously been ‘matched’ and therefore shouldn't be duplicated and so the staff team will need to tackle the bug to rectify. It's on the site admin's radar and attention will be given to resolving the issue ASAP.

We will update this thread once we have progress/have resolved.

We are aware of these and are in the process of taking care of the newly-duplicated players (i.e. those who were introduced by SI as part of the 26.2 update). Rest assured, they'll be tackled soon enough.

The two subscription products aren't linked/dependent on one another. You can subscribe to either one, or both, should you wish.

There's no mechanism to ‘switch’ between the products using the same subscription, as such. In terms of issuing refunds, only the Site Admin is able to do so - as such, I can't do anything practical to help myself on that front. From my perspective, I note you have made use of the Premium subscription benefits significantly already since signing up.

Just to acknowledge - this is known to be mismatched at the moment. Unfortunately, this is a consequence of every official SI update that adds new players to their official database…as this then offsets the newly-created players in our files by a certain amount and the config file supporting the facepack then becomes obsolete.

It's on the to-do list and will be addressed as soon as we are able.

This is probably not the thread for queries/concerns related to the SortItOutSI Data Update.

However, the issue you are/were experiencing was the result of an issue with the data processing that took place yesterday/earlier today. @5edT - I am curious regarding the delta/what is perceived to be missing versus the other site you mention. Not through any strict loyalty to this website - but just because I have always considered the transfer/contract coverage included in SortItOutSI's Data Update pretty comprehensive. When I look at the numbers published on their site for volume of changes, it is tiny in comparison to this site (for example). Do they have more transfers/contract updates? Or do they absorb more different types of data changes? Or both/something else?

So by all means feel free to get the latest instance (published approx. 30 minutes ago) and do away with the 1-2 day old instance.

Update on the above: The issue with the FM24 Data Update (specifically, version 5263) has now been resolved.

A new update was published approx. 15 minutes ago, which contains the full and correct dataset of changes. Please disregard the advice about using an older instance. At this time, it is recommended anyone playing FM24 reverts to using the latest FM24 Data Update, available via https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused to the community throughout the last 12-24 hours.

As an aside, it's worth noting the Site Admin is actively working on reacting/preparing the data following the recent FM26 official update (FM26.2). There is a fair amount to do and we will look to tackle the issue with removed, non-playing staff after we have that all fundamentally in place.

As for Vinai Venkatesham, I am not sure you and I agree on the situation with him. For me, he appears in FM24 as Tottenham Hotspur's Managing Director. I can see the changes being successfully written into the Data Update file when I look in the Pre-Game Editor.

I am not using any files except for this website's FM24 Data Update. Have you definitively tried to start a new game with the FM24 Data Update only to verify the same?

Apologies, this is a very slow reply - and I know you've mentioned this a few times. I just wanted to circle back around and acknowledge - I'm looking at (and discussing internally) the best method to tackle this.

For your awareness, I believe the situation with Daniel Levy (and any others who are part of the same use-case) is that he has been removed from FM26. As he's not in the database at all, there was a point in time where the data-sets were consolidated to support both updates (which makes sense). Certain Data Update submissions/changes would've been purged as a result of this - for example, the approved change that would've removed Daniel Levy from Tottenham Hotspur in FM24. The result is that there are no changes being applied to his Person record in FM24…and so he's exactly where he would have been in the default FM24.3 database.

I am hoping we will find a systematic way to tackle this situation by re-importing certain purged data, however if this isn't possible, then I will create a manual, additional file whose sole purpose will be to apply changes to high-profile non-playing staff (like Daniel Levy) who only exist in FM24…however, doing it the manual way will be susceptible to the scope being limited to the top-level ‘big leagues’ as I can't check every staff record for every club…

Just as an aside: the exact job titles/roles cannot always be matched. Alas, for this, our options are the ones that FM24 provides us. Therefore, for example, I would not classify it as a mistake that Vinai Venkatesham is listed as the Managing Director and Matthew Collecott as a ‘Director’. This is the best-fit available.

@JJD25 & @pieman25 - apologies to acknowledge this thread with some delay.

I can confirm we have a (temporary) issue, affecting the latest/current instance of the Data Update. I can assure you both that support for the FM24 Data Update is very much active and ongoing - what we have at the moment is a one-time error caused by some incorrectly processed data. We're on the case of resolving the issue in today's instance and, as @pieman25 has correctly identified, the best solution in the meantime is to revert back to a previous version.

For anyon experiencing this, just to confirm: there is no error on the user's side. This will need to be resolved through the next iteration of the update, by the site admin. I have tested and verified that this works and contains all of the expected changes.

I am assuming you're referring to the FM24 Data Update (I notice on your profile you've downloaded both), as that has the latest update date of 12/03/2026.

I have just downloaded that latest version of the FM24 Data Update and tested a new game - I am able to replicate the issue. At this stage, I do not know the cause - but I'm investigating, effective immediately.

The FM24 Data Update now includes a Norway (League) file which updates Norway to reflect the upcoming 2026 season (for the most part). The file does not include the altered schedule to the Norwegian Cup which, as of this season, span across multiple years.

It includes promotions/relegations for all playable divisions. It also includes a points deduction to one OBOS-Ligaen club (Åsane) which is applied for the 2026 season.

The earlier start date (2023) reflects the real-life 2025 season. The later start date (2024) reflects the real-life 2026 season.

It is almost certainly the ‘Player History’ file that is causing this behaviour for you - as it does for all others.

It's not a bug - it is just a symptom/consequence of that file having a lot of database changes in it (over 3,000,000).

It is known to significantly slow down the game creation process, whilst all of these changes are processed. If you choose to enable this file, there is a requirement to tolerate the one-time slow game creation process. The good news is that, once the game is loaded, loading the save and the actual gameplay is no slower.

The alternative is to simply disable this file. However, you will then not have the updated player histories it introduces.

Things have gone a bit quiet, lately, on this front - but I just wanted to confirm that the FM24 Data Update now includes a new Greece (League) file which updates Greece to reflect the 2025/26 season.

It includes the competition structure (both league and cup) as it is in real-life, as well as the changes that take place in to next season in real-life. Naturally, it contains promotions/relegations, competition and club history as with our other nation updates. A bit overdue, but finally got it done.

Moving on to other nations next.

Could you share the site/URL for the Turkish platform you mentioned? I know that there is big money in Turkish football and therefore salaries can be quite high - I suspect this is one of those nations that, in-game, would benefit from some manual adjustments. I agree with you about Capology as well.

If I have sources to consult, I'm happy to try and apply changes for some of the high-profile January transfers, for example. Of course, there have been loads so I can't go through every single one - but anything to try and make the data better.

While it's absolutely clear to me that all of these players will be on significantly-improved wages following their transfers, I think the real and fundamental issue is being able to reference a reasonable source to put an accurate figure behind what it needs to change to.

If I look at Ademola Lookman as an example, I quickly find a source that suggests he's on £200,000 per week, whilst Google's AI summary puts the same player's salary at closer to £120,000 per week. I don't see either of these as particularly official - of course they're indicative, at best.

What should we do? Split the difference and estimate it in the middle? Go for the higher one/lower one? It's a similar story with any other player - the reported figures vary and, fundamentally, aren't official.

As a member of the staff team here, I'm in the pool of people happy to help and to do it - but it just needs a sensible/consistent approach, I think.

Indeed - I found the same. I have flagged it - I think maybe the club is not correctly designated/recognised as being either a men's or women's team (it doesn't show the highlight when you look at them in the divisional list) which is perhaps preventing it from showing up when you search in the individual player's data form (though I am speculating for now).

I'm going to reject this for now as I think he has transferred to Forte Virtus FC…who show up in a database search but not when searching to assign a club.

I think it may be a bug, which I will flag to the site owner.

It's OK - you have done it correctly. It's just how the UI works on the submissions - because the ‘Original Data’ has him at Persis Solo, the update is not technically changing that and so it doesn't show you that bit of the information. The details on the submission are relative to the Original Data, basically.

As you'll see, now I've approved your latest submission the player shows as being contracted to Persis Solo and on loan as you intended.

Can you please check that, in your Editor Data folder, you only have one file related to Turkey?

My suspicion is that you have an old version of the Turkey file from a much earlier version of the Data Update. It was renamed at some point to reflect the Türkiye spelling. If your game is trying to load both, they are likely clashing and this is causing the number of teams not to match the expected values.
