At no stage do the installation instructions mention, let alone suggest or recommend, moving into a separate subfolder the folders that are actually explicitly mentioned as needing to be deleted 🤷🏻‍♂️

 

That was your decision, and nothing to do with the installation instructions at all.

 

Ah you may have misunderstood (or, apologies, maybe I wasn't clear enough): I didn't in any way mean to suggest the instructions were the reason I messed up 🙂

 

I kept the original files in place because I wanted to keep a backup just in case. I was merely saying that maybe putting a disclaimer in the instructions might ensure no-else repeats my mistake

 

At any rate, it doesn't matter. Thanks as always for the excellent mod and fast updates!

Yes, I suspect that's it.

 

Took a while to test that, but yes! Apparently those folders (and their contents) do need to be completely removed. Cheers! Maybe it'll help someone else with this issue if you put it in the instructions, too. 🙂

Seems like you might not have installed the download correctly.

 

Can you post screenshots of the equivalent folders shown in the main post as they are on your computer?

 

Sure thing - this is what I have in my installation folder (x contains the original dbc, edt and lnc folders that come with the game, could that be the problem?):

If you are in the middle of a save-game when you install this download, Japanese and German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not immediately.

Since I applied v1.0 before starting the save and v1.2 weeks (in game) before the international break, shouldn't the call-ups work already? Or will they only be called up in the second (ie next) international break?

Long time user and lover of this mod in past FMs ☺️

 

 

Just had my first international break, and I realized that the German and Japanese teams aren't calling up real players, nor do they have backroom staff - including Hansi Flick. Everything else - competition and club names, real media outlets etc - is working fine. Any chance someone has run into the same thing?

 

 

Setup details:

• PC Game Pass version
• Started the save with v1.0 of this file
• Updated it to v1.2 a couple days later, but didn't start a new save (could that be the cause? I thought the national team fixes were save-compatible?)

Well I'm not sure exactly what the problem was, but I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1, and the links seem to be working fine now. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the responses.

I'm using the built-in Windows firewall and no VPN. And I'm sure the problem has nothing to do with my computer: as I said, I used a different PC as well as an Android phone. And they are on different networks (both wireless and wired).

However those networks are all run by my university, so I don't know the ISP. The problem could indeed be there, I suppose.

Yeah the problem occurs only when I'm trying to download. Whenever I try to download the real names fix, the cut-out facepack or the metallic logopack, I get the following message from Chrome after a few seconds:

"Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to us62977184620748879.dynamiccloudserver.info
Did you mean: dynamiccloudserv­er.­info"

On IE, I get the following message:

"This page can't be displayed
•Make sure the web address http://sortitoutsi.net is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes."

I've tried, as I said before, on multiple computers and even my phone, and every time the same thing happened. But some other links I tried, like a couple of individual kitpacks, worked just fine. I also created a free account last night and managed to download the facepack and names fix using the free links, so the problem seems to be with this Premium account.

Thanks for the response, but it has nothing to do with the browser or the OS. I tried the links on IE10 on this PC, on an Android phone, on Chrome on another Windows 7. Still the same result.

Either the link's broken, or there's something up with my account.

Hey all,

For a few weeks now, I've been unable to download the real names/german national team fix, the cut-out faces megapack (directly; the torrent works) or the metallic logos megapack (neither directly nor via torrent). Whenever I hit them, I get an "Oops!" message from Chrome telling me the link could not be connected to.

The corresponding links for FM 2013 worked fine a month ago, and I was able to download some individual league kit packs for FM 2014. Anyone else have this problem, or solutions to it?

I'm running the latest version of Chrome on Windows 8, if that helps.
