so I make kits without texture, so that in the future it would be possible to fix something, change the color or add a sponsor for example!

For the kits already made, I'm not a Photoshop expert by any stretch of the imagination but I reckon that an action could be created automatically moving the sections which have changed into the new format, so that at least that work isn't "wasted". You could then have all the old kits changed automatically into the new format

It could work (potentially, I'm not sure how actions work myself) but I imagine it would potentially look scruffy. To get it all to fit the kit seams actually need to be resized/stretched in places as the shirt texture is now wider by a little bit, as well as the collars being in odd positions, the front of the collar and the back seem to be slightly mismatched in heights, or at least that's how it seems to me after staring (in disbelief mainly) at the new one for a while. It could work fine I might just be a perfectionist, but if someone could get that sort of thing working I'm sure it would be fantastic as a stand-in for most kits, though more detailed kits may need more attention.

Not gonna have the chance to make many kits with the fact I've now got a job, but the red stripe on top of the socks was annoying me so here's the york kits, originally made by Bolid but adapted for FM20 by me, I'm not farting about with the collar because whatever shape SI want the round ones to be, I hate it. Genuinely this template is terrible to work with, at least between FM18 and FM19 there was obvious improvements, this is a step backwards in terms of the kit making. Now I'm gonna try to enjoy the weekend!

Read through a little of this and other than maybe the odd problem with the socks, will the older kit version still work ok with FM20?

It'll technically work, but socks have an issue, sleeves will be the wrong way around on some kits with sleeve sponsors or different sleeves, shorts will be jumbled around and there'll be odd bands of different colours where the templates don't quite line up.

Jesus wept, that's really awful.. who thought those shorts were a good idea, and why on earth can they not decide on where to put the sleeves? The collar shape is a pain as well, means there's not really an easy way to get lines on a round collar, can't just use the circle tool and cut away what isn't needed.. bugger!!

Ahh got ya, they're doing well at the minute, top of the league still, they've got the new stadium as well. Hope they get back to the football league eventually, they're too big a club at the level they're at. I met Steve Watson not so long back, genuinely nice guy

In an unbelievable vein of form, 17 unbeaten I think it is now? Genuinely the best football we've had since Worthington took us to the L2 playoffs, and that was some fantastic football with players like Matty Blair and Jason Walker running amok.

Always with York, and likely creating a new team where I'm based now when the database gets down to about level 10-11, tradition and all that! Never done big saves, can safely say on FM19 I didn't manage a single game in a league higher than League One, never seen the appeal of it being honest, to me FM has always been building from the lowest point with my beloved club but everyone's different!

now that FM 18 and 19 kit template will be put soon a rest, could I ask you to share your psd files for 2017/18 and 2019/20 kitpacks you did?
We have 18/19 psd files, the extraordinary bolid's NE templates, but I would like to have 17/18 and 19/20 psd for the leagues you cover, too.

Yup sure thing, here's the 17-18 ones, includes National, North, South, and Evo-Stik Northern Div 1 North along with a couple random ones like Burnley's third kit. Any National North and South I've done for 19-20 I've sent to Bolid so they're all in one place, rather than people having to download twice as many things.

Quick note anyone using transfermarkt as a source, I seem to get errors with the dates if there's not a tab space between the day and the date, so as an example make sure it looks like the top one and not the bottom

Hey, ive installed the data update, now it takes 10-15 minutes to load after i click new career and when that loads, and im on the league selection page, it takes another 10-15 minutes to load. Any idea how i can fix this. When i remove the files the game runs perfect

Just comes with adding/changing a lot of data from the standard database. When starting a new save I usually press go and go to the shops to be honest, takes about 30-45 minutes with an English league database.

I can now confirm that 3d texture layout will be different.
However, it's NOT totally different like between FM17 and FM18. The position and size of all kit parts is roughly the same so it should be possible to convert FM19 kits by moving parts around. Socks are moved up by half of their size and shorts fronts and back are swapped. Collar is also moved slightly to left.
Since sponsored areas are on same positions, simple FM19 kits with not much details on shorts and socks will work fine.

There's also another thing for users that were playing non-licenced kits using default kits; in 2D screen you were able to pick a shirt and on the back you could display it as same as front, or plain, or box behind number. But whatever you picked, in 3D match you could only have same as front. This is now fixed and all 3 variants exist in game files.

At least it's not totally shifted around like it was a couple years ago, still a little bit of a ballache though!

Download the old pack @Marko12101983, put it in your Sports Interactive > FM19 > Kits folder, and then simply save these kits over the old ones. Easiest way to do it as it means you don't have to faff about with a config file.

Football being football, one of my boys has now moved to another team, Mearns United. I completely understand if it isn't possible, but if you do have time is there any chance you can make the 2D and 3D for this Mearns top, the number on the back is white with a narrow white outline as well? Means my two boys can play against one another on FM. Thanks again for the earlier kit. I don't know if Mearns have an away kit, if so, it is probably the reverse, with white as the dominant colour and purple number etc.

Not a problem pal, pretty simple kits so knocked these up in a quick break, numbers and that just change in the editor, hopefully the shade of purple is okay, I can never seem to get purples right!
