I don't know if this has been mentioned earlier, but a warning when uploading a source when there is one pending or recently cut would be a welcome feature. It would eliminate situations like this, where the same source is requested and cut multiple times.

Howdy all, I've been weighing up whether to start a file in Tier 12(!) of English football, using Dan BHTFC's custom database. In short, the idea excites and overwhelms me in equal measure, and so I was wondering if anyone had any tips or experiences to share at all, be it general or specific. Could be in regards to the settings of the save itself, tactics, signings - whatever 🙂 Apologies in advance for any shoddy forum etiquette, I'm a tad inexperienced with the format.

I did a save like this a couple years ago and it wasn't fun until a couple season in. I started way down in the amateur leagues where you could only sign amateur players/staff. The problem with amateur contracts is that they can be picked up by another team at any time. Although, when you get out of the amateur leagues and get into the pro leagues, it's quite a rewarding feeling.

If you decide to go for this kind of save, keep your tactical instructions to a minimum and sign a lot of players as backups in case you players get picked up by another team.

I've set my hometown club, AFC Rushden & Diamonds, as a favourite club, and I'm trying to get them as an affiliate. Once I do, is there any way I can guarantee they get up the leagues? I've got divisions loaded all the way down to the Southern Premier, which is where they're currently sat in #22.

There's no guaranteed way, but you can certanly increase their chances. You can a) Send some youth players on loan there and you paying all the wage. Players might find not be willing to go there if the level is too low.

b) sign top players (top scorer, highest ar) from the affiliate's league with the intention of sending them on loan there.

c) If your clud has a high enough reputation, just playing a few friendlies against them at their ground can generate enough money for them to get a few decent players by themselves.

I had a lot of similar posts tagged recently and I think I've narrowed it down to a whole shedload of images I somehow missed on the 14/15 January, even though I approved them 😕

@Footygamer I love the new cutout browser, but I have a couple of complaints:

Some teams are showing as having one member (Lillestrøm SK 2) but don't have any people listed.
Would it be possible to add a progress bar for requested/pending sources? Something like this,
It would be much easier to find new sources if you implemented player/staff UID on their profile card.
Cuts should be to scale, so 180x180 cuts should be visibly smaller than 250x250 cuts. Currently, all images are scaled to be the same size. For example Clement Twizere vs. Brede Sandmoen
Would it be possible to implement the same “image view” format as on the submissions page?
It doesn't scale on mobile.

More often than not, you can change or remove the text after .jpg, .png, .jpeg, etc. In this case you can just change the "h=***" and "w=***".
