Swiss file attached validated for 22.3 and 22.4- has some improvements too if you plan to use that league

I didn't validate the others (they might work if you try yourself in the editor as Mons says)

No error message, I tried to attach the zip file in my original post, it seemed to be there, but when I posted it had disappeared.

Yep thanks, but I knew that; I originally tried to upload as a zip file and it didn't like it- are zip files now allowed to be attached any more?

(not a problem as files small enough as fmf)

I don't use FMT, so can't be sure, but I was under the impression this worked just fine going by previous feedback.

 

It does work fine, and confirm still does for the winter update  🙂 

 

But I think the opening post  is misleading some people, as references the full fat folders.

I can't get Caribbean Cups working properly with the CONCACAF League unfortunately, so have removed that file.
Bermuda league added however with the Jamaican file.

Typo in the file path I provided:

(file extension should be a ddt, but should be in the edt folder)

However, it will only retain as many players as there are in the database in the first place, and there aren't that many Maltese players in the FMT database...

(not sure how the FMT and FM full databases link together. If you are using the file that retains all teams with a UEFA coefficient file as well, you will see for some reason Balzan seem to have a full squad, including several Maltesers. But the other six teams only have between 4 and 8 players retained, and amongst those only 2 or 3 altogether of Maltese nationality. Seemed to be 5 or 6 additional Maltesers retained from foreign clubs. So you might struggle to get enough players to make the national team playable due to these database limitations.)

Not quite, path should be:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2020 Touch\data\database\db\2040\ddt\

Lower case or upper case not important really, just paste the file in the right place using Windows File Explorer
(the path you showed was for full version of Football Manager, not FMT. File should work with that version too, but not necessary, as the advanced start game options in full version allow a lot more freedom to choose all players from nationality, all players based in nation, all players in top division etc. etc. for any country you like, so don't need to go to the trouble of creating a DDT file, much easier)

Also, depends which version of the database you are going to start your game with, if latest database in the 2040 folder, if original database, 2000 folder etc. etc.

Stupidly, I uploaded without checking in the game first- I saved as a EDT file instead of a DDT file.

Re-uploaded and now should work (not sure if in the iOS version though)

Update for the Swiss kits file as I realised I had not included all the missing kits after all- I have now.
While I was adding these I also ran the main file in a holiday game until 2027 with no crashes or issues

Updated with cup qualification competition working for 4th (1L Classic) and 5th (2L Interregional) levels + refined player rules following feedback from Swiss FM research team

Unzip and put in the editor data folder and select the files when starting a new game

Should still work mate in the same place in the FM18 equivalent folder.
Assuming unique IDs of the clubs haven't been re-numbered

Should be compatible- but there will be a new db folder for the new version so you will need to copy the files into that new folder

I've made no change to the Liechtenstein Cup from the original, as it's pretty true to live in the first place- and the winners do indeed get into the Europa League

You're welcome, I'd made it for my own use, so took me five minutes to share and always good to get appreciative feedback.

Just to add, this is particularly useful if playing in Challenge mode- as Challenge mode only allows one country to be loaded, until I realised EDT/DDT files still worked, it always annoyed me that foreign mediocre players in my squad would often get called up by their national teams purely due to the lack of players in the database- this avoids that from happening, and I haven't noticed any particular degradation of performance by having the larger database.

Plus make sure everything is set properly when you "bring them back to life", such as their competition is set back to the First Liga Promotion and country is set as Switzerland etc. (think these things default off, from memory)

I did update the files for the latest database, but I have ended up preferring FM Classic so have not really used or tested them, so not uploaded yet.
However, I may have some time over the weekend to test they work, and if they do, I will upload.
This will include Lithuania updated for the 2014 season in terms of teams in the right division- but would not include player updates (unless already in the official database)

You probably tried it with the most recent patch and selected the latest database, which this was not set up for.

Yes, you are correct. There is something broken in the editor because you used to be able to change the number of teams promoted for one season only, so that 15 teams can become 16 in the next season, but does not validate.
You could get round it by either changing the First League Promotion to have 15 teams every year, or change Bellinzona so they are not extinct

Sorry dude, the order I set it up I created the new league IDs before setting up the competitions, because I wanted to create as much as possible in the normal editor before switching to the advanced.
But setting up the existing competitions down to level 5 is very easy- and I did the kits and the player updates (if you want to use them) in separate files, so you could still use these with a competition structure you can set up yourself in a few minutes.
I have also got an early version of the file where I just updated the competition histories, which I can give you if you want it

To be honest I steer away from doing Asia, mainly because there are no rights for the J-League.
There are plenty of Asian league by other people out there, but I could not guarantee they would be compatible with my African and European files

UPDATED- Awards file added + CESAFA & COSAFA Cups for Africa and Baltic League (Lativa, Lithuania, Estonia) and Atlantic Cup (Iceland, Faroe Islands)

All previously unplayable European countries and African leagues pre-existing in the database (except Egypt as cancelled IRL therefore no format to follow) activated with real life rules where found + lower levels activated in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Only one file includes player updates (for Liechtenstein), which can simply be excluded if you only want to load the leagues

Ignore my comment, I think what must have happened before was that as I only unticked the caching/ticked reload skin for the FMC skin, not the normal skin- working fine for both since update to version 14.1 anyhow

I'm getting something similar- well, the logos are working in FM Classic, but not the full-fat version:
Is there a small mistake in the config file, or just something isn't working properly in the Beta?

You can do this easily by deleting the Inc folder
