RIP

TBH I'm not too upset. More angry. We have indeed stopped being a football club, and will be until these parasites at our club are gone.

Really feel sorry for Blackpool, absolutely criminal what's going on. I mean we've had it bad the last 5 years but we haven't sunk as low as you have done.

Hope you get rid of them soon, keep fighting for what you believe in!

Venky's out, Oyston out!

If Blackburn hadn't sacked Big Sam for Steve Kean in 2010

And frankly, is a Sam Allardyce side who will be exactly in the same place next year a team you want to survive?

Not sure they will be (assuming they do stay up of course). Whenever Big Sam has a full season with a club they usually end at least comfortably mid table, apart from Bolton's first season or two after promotion 15 years ago.

Although it's too early I guess to predict what'll happen next season, after all who thought this season would go how it has done.

Gutted for Accrington Stanley, looked all set to be in the automatic promotion places before Bristol Rovers scored a 92nd minute winner in their game to steal 3rd place. Hit the crossbar three times in their game but failed to win. Now they have to fight through the play offs.

Yeah thought they were gonna do it, but on SSN they kept going to Bristol Rovers every minute it felt like because they'd almost scored, you got the impression they'd get one eventually especially against Dagenham.

Hope Stanley can pick themselves up for the play offs.

Stadium is only 38k which is dumb, Uefa go on about teams taking the EL seriously then put the final in a stadium that only seats 38 thousand

Aye, all European finals should probably be in a minimum 50k stadium.

Still though, 9k each for Liverpool and Sevilla is it, where are the other 20k going?

Liverpool v Sevilla then, should be a decent final. Three in a row for Sevilla? Should have put a bet on them winning it again this year once the CL groups were drawn, they were always likely to come 3rd in theirs.

Can't believe each team only get 9k tickets though, what's all that about.

Brilliant from Atletico, fully deserved. I reckon they'll win it this time regardless of who they play in the final.

Pep's obviously a superb manager but his CL record at Bayern wasn't the best.

One would expect Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool to all be better next season.

Chelsea, City and Liverpool yes - not sure about Utd and Arsenal, if their managers remain the same then I doubt it.

Always impossible to predict these things though, it seems every summer everyone is saying how the traditional big clubs will be stronger next season and how close the title race is gonna be, including last summer ("Arsenal have a top class keeper now", "City have spent big and will definitely be up there with their squad", "Chelsea won it at a canter last season and will start as favourites" etc etc) then they all turned out pretty rubbish.

Milan doing everything possible to not play in Europe next season. Taken 2 points from the last 3 games which have all been against teams in the bottom 4.

They've been dire for a while now but I think the last 3 results are a new low. 2 points from Carpi and Frosinone at home and Verona away, oh dear!

Inter's defeat at Lazio means that Roma have clinched at least 3rd place, but the target is 2nd now.

Would have been nice for Leicester to either clinch it today or their next game at home to Everton, whereas it'll be tomorrow night most likely. I doubt they'll be worrying too much about that though!

Well... Defoe's 93rd minute penalty may not help, but at least we didn't do something like Villa.

Still, all we can do is win as many as we can, and we did. So thank fuck for that today. Onto the next'un.

If you win at Villa, you should be more or less safe shouldn't you? Unless Norwich or more likely Sunderland get a couple of surprise results.

Lambert gone at the end of the season it seems. *cough* Celtic *cough*

Not sure about Celtic, he may end up there or he may not but if he was backed with funds in summer and the chance to rebuild then he'd still be here. He's just, like everybody else, sick of the situation at the club.

The same situation that us fans protested about 5 years ago and were slagged off for.

In a couple of weeks time we'll have no manager, no chairman, no MD (i.e. nobody running things in this country, who on earth is going to be choosing the next 'manager'?). As of June we'll barely have any contracted players either, half of them are on loan and there's a fair few (deadwood to be fair) whose contracts are up in summer.

Blackpool or Bolton all over again it's looking like next season.

Seems Nainggolan's coming to Chelsea. Anyone in here watch the Serie A enough to tell me what he's like?

Would be really disappointed if he was sold, really good all-action and all-round centre midfielder. Has added goals to his game too since Spalletti's arrival so he's been contributing in both attack and defence, he's one of the team's most important players which would make it surprising if he was sold. I guess money talks (like the deals for Marquinhos, Benatia and even Lamela in the last couple of years).

We are desperately poor (feel like I say that every time I post in this thread!) but we need Lambert to be backed in summer, we have no other option. If he left because he wasn't backed then no proper manager would come near us (it's a miracle Lambert did really as everyone knows what Venky's are like - clueless and ignorant).

A word on Accy Stanley in League Two, with them being so close to me I've been keeping an eye on them and what they're doing really is remarkable. Wasn't long ago we were top 6 Premiership and they were in the Conference, next season hopefully they'll be a division below us and to be honest if things had have panned out slightly differently we could have been facing them next season

Not been able to come online for a while but all that needs to be said in this thread is Totti = king. Three goals in his last two games despite only playing 16 minutes and an assist in the sub appearance before that.

It's 2016 and he's still single handedly winning Roma matches. Legend.

I think it's pretty disgraceful though that there are only a few games left and nobody knows whether 8th May v Chievo will be Totti's last ever appearance at the Olimpico. Make an announcement either way (hopefully another year's contract, it's a no brainer).

Yeah, I'd have Ozil 5th or 6th on that list. Which still means he's been very good this season, his assists speak for themselves although I agree with bmg033 that he should get more goals, should be aiming for double figures every season really with his ability.

Kane's been superb but gotta be one of the Leicester lads winning it, really tough choice who though - all 3 would be deserved winners.
