With a bit of luck City could win the Champions League.

Need to avoid Barcelona (if they qualify obviously) or Real in the semi finals.

Imo could take Bayern over two legs.

Barca are the only ones to definitely avoid IMO, even Madrid haven't been that convincing in the knock-out stages. The aggregate score v Roma would have been a lot closer if Salah and Dzeko had finished easy chances in the away leg while it was still 0-0, and then obviously the away game at Wolfsburg.

Milan sacking Mihajlovic. They've been poor lately but they're better than last year, although that's not saying much. They're putting Brocchi in charge which I assume is only until the end of the season, if not then it'd be pretty mental. Still though it's a shame to see such a great club in dire straits.

Roma 1-1 Bologna tonight, pretty much confirms how the top 3 will end up. Also confirmed that Totti is still a genius (and should be playing more).

How can you compare Pardew to Sanchez Flores and Howe?

Palace finished 10th in the Premier League last season - Watford and Bournemouth were playing a division below. Different expectations as a result of this and so QSF and Howe have performed much better than Pardew this season. Simple as that.

Anyway, delighted for Leicester

Keegan>Hughton>Pardew>Roeder>Kinnear>Shearer>Souness>Carver>Allardyce>McClaren>Benitez

Don't know where to start with that one.....

Big win for Palace which sees them safe, Norwich v Sunderland next week is huge in terms of the final relegation spot (can't see any hope for Newcastle).

Won't get noted by many but Guidolin is doing a really good job at Swansea.

Neither of these teams will win it. (The Champions League. I mean)

2-2 FT. Good result for City, PSG had enough chances to win it though - the penalty, Zlatan's one on one, Cavani at 2-1 after they'd hit the bar.

50/50 probably going into the second leg.

The sending off wasn't harsh nope, pretty stupid from Torres. 2-1 wasn't too bad for Atletico in the end although 11 v 11 they'd have had a good chance of a positive result.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Bale's goal, fucking horrendous refereeing.

Horrendous indeed. It was a great header and he just jumped higher than Alba.

Really good second half of El Clasico, first half not so much.

Great strike that from Martin Olsson to win it.

Not sure how Sunderland didn't win their game, did everything right but time's running out...especially with Norwich's upturn in form. Pulis though, harping on about getting to 40 points in his interview. You're 11th and 13 points clear of the bottom 3! Which is decent for West Brom but show a bit of ambition, talk about trying to finish the top 10 even if it is nosebleed territory for you.

That was never a red for Kouyate either, didn't have his studs up or anything. Unreal free kick from Payet, so accurate.

As for tomorrow - come on Leicester!

I'd have thought Ter Stegen would have wanted to go somewhere where he'd be guaranteed number 1, after complaining he wasn't happy rotating with Bravo at Barca.

Garde has left Villa. Still can't believe he actually took that job in the first place.

Same, strange decision to accept it.

He'll be hoping that everyone will just know Villa are a shambles from top to bottom and so his reputation won't be tarnished too much.

Gonna predict 2-1 for England, Holland are in pretty dire straits these days. Which is a shame to see as they've always consistently produced world class players (up until the last few years).

Definitely didn't see that coming! The result doesn't necessarily matter in friendlies but the performance does, and it was an excellent performance. Not too impressed with Germany though it has to be said.

One or two tweaks for Tuesday, definitely start Vardy (terrific goal!) and maybe one or two others and then go again.

What the fuck.

Massive win for Norwich that. Can't wait for the Newcastle-Sunderland game tomorrow, always look forward to those two playing each other but should be even better tomorrow given the importance.

Had to happen didn't it, Liverpool-Dortmund! Should be a good couple of games though.

Also just seen that only Liverpool have been charged for chants Which is a joke; it was loud and clear from United throughout both legs.

Compulsory 'fuck me, no-one uses these forums anymore' post. But seriously, I remember this place being buzzing. Now it's quieter than a funeral.

Sports Discussion is still doing well and also the FM side of things (which I haven't actually visited for a long time, despite still playing FM regularly).

But yeah Off Topic is pretty quiet, the glory days were never gonna last forever though!

Unreal free kick from Payet that, against a keeper as good as De Gea too.

You'd have to fancy West Ham for the replay.
