Quality performance and result tonight at home to Boro, played really well. Starting to see Lambert's impact now he's had the chance to get some of his own players in. Same again hopefully at Burnley on Saturday lunchtime.

Had a feeling Leicester would slip up tonight. Not liking the difficulty they're having against teams lower down the table (Bournemouth, Norwich and WBA at home, Villa away - all from the last couple of months).

Just hope West Ham win tomorrow, and Liverpool too just to keep City at arms length.

Ox might be binned by us at the end of the season apparently. Unsurprising.

Might be best for both parties, I don't think he's any better now than he was 3 or 4 years ago.

Zidane to get sacked and Mourinho to replace him.

Calling it.

When Roma played Madrid the other week, I wasn't that impressed with what I saw from Madrid to be honest despite the scoreline. Since then they've drawn with Malaga and lost v Atletico so looks like Zizou has got a job on his hands.

Massive result for Leicester today, they'll have to keep on finding a way of grinding results like that out I think against the lesser teams. West Brom at home in midweek will be another one where they'll most likely have to be patient.

And that's true Sam, Newcastle fans on here did predict this would happen with Palace/Pardew.

Watching PSG last night and seeing how they play/look compared to the Premier Leagues best sides play just makes our league look even worse than it already is.

Bet 365 asked a question on FB/Twitter yesterday asking where PSG would finish in the Premier League, and unsurprisingly there were a number of people (who are probably spoonfed their football knowledge by Sky Sports) saying around 5th or 6th. Reasons given genuinely included not being able to deal with two domestic cups and matches such as Stoke away

I remember when Tottenham sold Bale and spent the lot on about 11 players, and everyone moaned etc, its starting to pay off now.

It's not exactly Soldado, Paulinho and Capoue that have fired them to contention for the title though. Granted Eriksen is class and Lamela looks decent now (but £30m was crazy money).

Aye he's pretty lethal.

I hope Hodgson just accidentally forgot Sturridge last night when he mentioned people like Walcott and Welbeck as striking options for the Euro's apart from Rooney, Kane and Vardy.

Good strike but the deflection took it past Reina.

As much as I rate Napoli, I just can't see Juve not winning it now.

Heads up Leicester, if it had been 11 v 11 you'd have got at least a point. Daft challenges by Simpson (just don't risk it when you're on a yellow!!) and Wasilewski at the end.

Go and get 6 points from Norwich and West Brom at home and you'll be reet

His career's going nowhere. He was so good at such a young age Rovers that pretty much everyone thought he'd be captain of both United and England by now.

Shame really, such a big club yet their better players from last season like Payet and Ayew just going to mid-table English clubs. Sign of the times I guess.

Yeah I thought Liverpool played quite well in spells. Could easily have won on another day.

I was actually hoping they'd get through so we'd play them, just because they have their minds elsewhere this month - League Cup final, Europa League etc. Whereas the FA Cup will probably be West Ham's priority now.

The 'Derby Way' Probably even worse than the 'West Ham way'!

If they were sacking Clement and bringing somebody like Pearson straight away then you could understand it, but I don't understand why they'd sack Clement only to appoint the academy coach or whatever the new guy was.

So we didn't sign a striker in the end. I wonder how long it will be before Kane gets injured then.

I know he's technically not a striker, but Son has done alright when he's played upfront hasn't he?

Amazed at Chelsea not offering Terry a new deal. Do they treat all their legends like that? Terry and Lampard both should have been allowed to retire there.

They probably have doubts about whether he can put himself in scoring positions at the highest level. Being a great finisher doesn't matter much if you never get into any good opportunities to shoot.

It's probably more about his general play, I think. He doesn't have any pace or strength so isn't much use outside of the box and in this day and age there isn't much room for traditional poachers unfortunately, especially at the highest level.

I think he'll always put himself in scoring positions whatever level he's playing at. If Boro go up (which I think Rhodes will help them to do, starting with two games against us in the next month ) then it'll be fascinating to see what he does in the Premier League.

Doumbia should do alright I think, he went to Roma at completely the wrong time. Jan, Feb and March last year was when the wheels just completely came off and barely anyone was playing well. Once he didn't score in his first few games and missed a couple of chances, there was no going back from there really (incidentally the same could happen with Dzeko unless he gets a few soon!)

Better to look at Doumbia's proven record at CSKA for years rather than just a few months at Roma.

Jordan Rhodes finally moving on from Blackburn. It might get his career back on track. Though I still want to know why Premier League clubs aren't interested in a player who can score goals for fun.

Probably doubts about his all-round game I'm guessing, which is fair enough. That's all it can be because if he gets chances, he'll score.

Absolutely gutted though

We have just accepted an offer for our best player, Ole Selnæs, from St. Etienne.

Did they not take another player off you too recently?
