Juventus are one of the most physical sides in the competition so they'll be able to match you guys in that regard, they'll be in their element and relishing the battle at Celtic Park.

I expect Juve to progress, but I guess you've shown time and time again over the years never to write you off.

Yeah seeing them in Bristol, the missus is coming too. It was either that or Cardiff (where she's from) Students Union, and I'd probably prefer not to go there.

Got two tickets and a pre-order of the album (only 6.50, whereas it's 9 quid on amazon) on ticketmaster.

Are they good live then?

Right choice there I think, and yeah very good

Rovers are awesome.

Furious Blackburn manager Henning Berg stormed out of the club’s Christmas party after he was made to wear a stocking on his head and dance on stage.

The humiliating incident on Monday night is bound to cast more doubt over Berg’s future at Ewood Park just seven weeks after he returned as manager.

Blackburn have recorded only one win from nine games under Berg, leading to speculation he could be sacked by Indian owners Venky’s if results do not improve dramatically.

It was hoped the party for the players and more than 200 staff in a suite at Ewood would lift morale but it backfired spectacularly.

When the DJ decided to play some games, one of the club’s executives volunteered Berg to go up on stage. The 43-year-old Norwegian reluctantly wore the Christmas stocking but grew visibly angry and uncomfortable when he was made to dance as well.

The final straw came when someone attempted to put a Michael Jackson wig on his head. Berg ripped off the stocking and left the stage.

He then made his excuses to guests at his table before making an early exit. Berg, who won the Premier League and League Cup in two spells at Blackburn, is understood to have become increasingly disillusioned with the job he has taken on.

On the day he was appointed, it was revealed the ex-Manchester United defender would be sacked if he failed to win promotion back to the Premier League this season.

However, after picking up just six points from nine games, Blackburn have slumped to 15th and face a battle to even make the play-offs.

Last week Berg was told to find an entire new backroom team, although it has since emerged that his assistant, Eric Black, first-team coach Iain Brunskill and goalkeeping coach Bobby Mimms may be given a stay of execution due to problems bringing in replacements.

There were suggestions of outside interference when he dropped former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson at Blackpool on Saturday, when his side suffered a fourth defeat in five games.

Robinson is one of several players expected to leave in January, with Tottenham’s Brad Friedel lined up to replace him.

Venky’s invested heavily in the summer, making Blackburn the highest-paid team in the Champ-ionship, and sources say failure to return to the Premier League at the first attempt would be a financial catastrophe.

The question is how long they will give Berg to turn the club round, though he may quit first.

It's a fair point but they're not shit because of McDermott. They're shit because they're players aren't very good.

It's a poor squad yeah, and it would be tough for anyone to keep them up, but teams with a lack of talent should always try to make up for it through hard work and being organised, which I just don't see in Reading. Norwich the last two seasons are a good example, Hughton's doing fantastically after struggling at the start of this season.

Just got tickets to The Courteeners in March. Should be good .

Nice one, very good band. Got two cousins who are obsessed with them, seen them 30+ times. I've seen them twice, they actually came to Blackburn in 2010 not long after Falcon was released, and then at the MEN just before Christmas, same year.

You seeing them in Bristol?

The fans got behind the team in the 4-4. And it definately does make teams play worse, the negative attitude certainly brings down performances.
Blackburn would have booed their way to a Champiobship last season if booing made a difference.

The performance couldn't have been that good in the first place if fans are booing. The majority of booing is at half time and full time anyway - so you've got a 15 min break before play starts again and then obviously booing at full time can't 'bring down' a performance. Players would have heard booing hundreds of times in their careers - no way it makes them play worse.

Don't understand this bit about Rovers? Our relegation was down to horrendous ownership and management.

Can you honestly think of one time, when a team has been booed and then went on to a great victory/comeback/performance?

And the owners will put in a lot more money than the fans.

That doesn't really matter but off the top of my head one that you can relate to, Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal? Amongst many other examples that happen every weekend through the divisions.

It certainly doesn't make teams play worse all of a sudden.

Can't really compare owners' hundreds of millions or whatever to a fans wage, either. If there's players on tens of thousands a week not pulling their weight, the fans should let them know.

Booing is completely pointless, it just drains a team of confidence and fight.

Rubbish. If a little bit of booing affects a team then they're obviously not mentally strong enough to be on the pitch in the first place.

Fans pay the money and have a right to voice their displeasure especially if, like Poe said, the players aren't giving their all.

Not really, their team isn't showing any form of effort or fight at all.

Fans will generally excuse lack of talent, but lack of heart and effort is inexcusable. They've had every right to boo.

+1.

I can't see their Russian owner being too impressed by one win by Christmas. I know McDermott got them up but sometimes you have to be ruthless.

4-2 now, as I type. Can it happen??

Veron was an excellent player. Never minded him (apart from when he butted Totti when he was at Inter).

Going to Blackpool today. New ground for me, but it's going to be fecking cold, right by the sea and all that. Could be a long afternoon if we don't improve on recent 'performances'.

Beat Fiorentina 4-2 at home Saturday night, played some great stuff and, despite a couple of defensive mishaps (first Fiorentina goal especially), things are actually looking up.

Love it when Totti scores too, his second was a good strike but god knows what Viviano was doing with it.

Sooo... was I right about Berg, BR? Another defeat tonight I see.

It's still early days but yeah he needs to sort us out big time, 1 point out of a possible 12 at home really isn't acceptable. Don't know why players like Givet and Vukcevic are being left on the bench either behind absolute dross like Hanley and Marcus Olsson.

Desperately hope he succeeds but he needs to turn it round quick before we end up closer to the bottom of the table than the top. (if we aren't already).

Not seen any highlights of the Roma game yet, but another good win, three in a row now Destro looks to have found his feet too. Fiorentina at home next week, that'll show if we've turned any sort of corner or not.

Because Blackburn is on the cutting edge?

I'd be the first to admit that Blackburn isn't excactly Paris or New York, but seriously Burnley is f*cking minging. Unbelievable the state of some (most) of their fans, about two teeth between them.

Anyway, 1-1. Gutted about the last minute equaliser but at least we didn't lose. This was their best chance for a long, long time and they still couldn't beat us.

We're falling well behind the promotion places though.
