Ji was pretty good for Augsburg, helped them survive relegation. Can't see them going with Aubameyang as their main striker either. I think they'll bring in someone.

Is Scheiber being sold?

Crazy to think Sunderland could get relegated and their reserve strikers will be at BVB and wherever Borini ends up.

What's the deal with Ji, was he sold to Augsburg or sent on loan? The BBC are saying he was sold there and will join Dortmund for free in the summer which makes no sense at all

Tancredi Palmeri has said we want Vermaelen.

No chance, surely.

I thought West Ham were trying for him?

On loan (lol), no one will get him anyway as we only have three center backs as it is.

We're not going to loan out our captain to West Ham. Also, Palmeri is a fucking idiot.

Not exactly fuck all but its been very quiet. Its importance has been way over-hyped this year given nobody seems arsed.

Just thought with Uniteds problems, Arsenal's striker and injury issues etc there will be a few more transfers but only really big move has been Matic?

I think Dortmund worked with Augsburg to buy Ji - a few months back Sunderland rejected something like a 4-5 mil bid from Dortmund thinking they would be able to negotiate for more money. Then Dortmund gave Augsburg money to buy Ji because Sunderland would probably not try hard to inflate his price against a small club. Sunderland obviously did not know about it and even announced it as a permanent move to Augsburg on their website. So it's a permanent move to Dortmund and he will spend the rest of the season at Augsburg and begin his 4 year contract with Dortmund in July. Will be a good move for him because he hasn't been playing for a while and he did well in Augsburg last season so he will be able to get his match fitness up in time for the WC.

I don't think Klopp brought him to replace Lewandowski for next season as announced by the media - although I'm hoping Klopp develops him like he did with Kagawa. It's a shame he wasn't used over Altidore who has been absolutely rubbish.

Guarin is on his way to Juventus, with Vucinic going the other way in a swap deal.

Arsenal apparently wanted Vucinic on loan, but Juventus wanted to sell.

Think of it like the equivalent of Dortmund signing Ji and sending him out on loan for the rest of the season, except Augsburg probably had a 'loan-to-buy' agreement that was still valid, and that was cheaper than the asking price to Dortmund.

The problem with our problems is apart from right back we don't need to buy for the sake of buying (and even then if Moyes played Fabio we'd be fine) we just need quality.

So January sucks for us, really. Half the players we want will be cup-tied in the Champions League, the other half (such as Koke, for example) won't move in January leaving us with fuck all to really go for and the players that probably would move, Cabaye for example are going to be vastly overpriced.

The clubs confident we can attract the players we want with or without Champions League football next year, and I'd rather see us go into the summer with a shrewd plan rather than panic buy players like Cabaye for a lot more than they are worth only for them not to be who we really want.

Of course, we could just be skint.

Thing is your chances to sign players aren't going to get any better in the summer because of the World Cup, unless you either sign players before or have players in mind to sign and they have a quiet World Cup.

So, this deal is apparently not going to happen. Inter are trying to pull out because of the negative reaction from their fans.

Players being overpriced in January seems to be a myth. Most clubs are selling club these days. For example Newcastle are now safe from relegation therefore logically would be more willing to lose Cabaye now, than in the summer.

Yeah, you can get as good deals in January as you can in the summer. Equally you can get as equally fucked in either transfer window. We bought the likes of Suarez, Agger, Skrtel and Sturridge in January so there is (some) quality available there

Sounds like Cabella is one his way. Probably. Possibly.

French clubs really need to speak to the press less. The President and Chairman have both said contradictory statements about Cabella today Just need Aulas to confirm the Gomis deal is 100% complete, apart from transfer fee, contact, agent fees and bonus,

Also linked with Salah. That probably looks like trying to speed up his Liverpool move.

Aye it's a strange one, an overrated midfielder that turns up once or twice a month and a has-been that used to turn it on in big games but now doesn't really do anything.

If anything Inter need to improve their midfield, though Juve could certainly stand to lose Vucinic and his high salary.

Seems a reasonable move for Chelsea though. They won't be seeing United again in the league and it wouldn't hurt them if United play well against the top 4 clubs as a result of bringing in Mata. Surely Chelsea would be happy with letting him go for £37m, his value probably won't increase after the World Cup.

Mata, despite this season, is still one of the best players in the league, and selling him to anyone that could potentially fuck us over in a future title race would be a massive cock up.
