There's at least a dozen fans on the pitch there.

Far worse has happenedin the past. I don't remember Grayson saying Carlisle fans are vile and should be banned from away grounds when they invaded the pitch and attacked 3 of our players.

I know it was just one fan who did the assault, was just saying there were more who got on the pitch.

That push would definitely knock you down by the way, wasn't a soft little tap like the Dida incident at Celtic. Especially coupled with the unexpectedness of it all.

Should have abandoned the match and gave Wednesday a 3-0 win.

It's amazing how much something is publicised as soon as it's Leeds. I remember a couple of years back at Millwall when Neil Harris scored for them their fans invaded the pitch and surrounded Casper Ankergren. Nothing was done then. Sheffield Wednesday need to get off their high horse too considering their fans attacked Clint Hill when they were relegated from the Championship against Palace. Short, short memories.

(I am not condoning the Leeds 'fan's' behaviour though, he is a complete cuntbag.)

Shut up, no one cares that it's Leeds.

Any time a fan has came onto a pitch and hit a player it has been huge news.

I'm aware of other incidents - Sunderland fans have previously got on the pitch to confront Shay Given and then push over Steve Harper in previous Tyne-Wear Derby games, for instance.

But it seems to be one hell of a bad tempered match all round. Certainly, if this is true, Leeds fans singing songs about Jimmy Saville and Munich does not exactly make the fanbase sound charming (yes I'm aware SWFC fans were singing about Istanbul stabbings - that's not that tasteful either).

The last time I remember it happening was Celtic vs Milan when a fan touched Dida. Although I remember Dida's play acting was so bad he got fined. I've read most of the papers today and none have been as knee-jerk as Dave Jones. I'm a little concerned about what, if any, sanctions the FA will apply, but I can't see how the club or the team can be held accountable for what one cunt did.

Did you hear about that Millwall incident on the news then?

Also, did you hear about Sheffield Wednesday fans spitting at women & children after the game shouting abuse in their face, even though they were not even remotely involved in the incident? Probably not.

You mean this one, which was covered by all news outlets?

Oh for fuck's sake. There isn't a sliding scale of outrage where each incident has a set degree of outrage applicable to it. Stop being a moron, as though winning a small battle about how you feel we're being hard done by somehow negates what happened. It doesn't smooth the edges. But also accept it isn't your fault. As a Leeds fan you don't need to take responsibility for that moron's actions. No normal person is including you in the blame.

I don't care about 'winning a small battle' one bit Fanny, I'm just trying to simply outline a point that this attention is going to result in even more hatred towards particular fans over something they were not in control of. I mean, women & children were spat at and called scum by the Wednesday fans following the game last night, yet they had literally no role in anything that happened. It's obviously all action that is started by morons, but retrospectively affects all of us because of the stereotypical nature of the game.

When I was younger, I knew little better. But now, I know that the vast majority who actually go to football games are of the vile EDL-supporting underclass scum. At least, matches that cost under £35 to get into, and those who can't get into the matches just vent their hate-fuelled vomit on the internet by expressing their 'expert opinion' on football using strawman arguments.

Yeah, and reports are your lot were singing 'Jimmy Saville, he'll shag who he wants'.

Neither of which are actually applicable to what that cunt that attacked Kirkland did.

Jimmy Saville he'll shag who he wants, which I find hilarious. Dave Jones is a paedo, not as funny but I always enjoy winding up Dave Jones.

Leeds fans are countering that it got aggressive because Wednesday fans started singing 'always look out for turks carrying knives', which never goes down well. Apparently that's why the stewards were not out in front of goal, they were at the sides in order to make sure segregation occurred.

Mind you, that's not me shifting the blame, I just had comments earlier that wondered why anyone could be so stupid as to not steward the pitch, but apparently they had a very good reason.
