Watched the sequel Before Sunset tonight. Just as good as the first film.

One of the shorter films I have seen lately as well, with an actual run-time of only about 75 minutes.

Agreed.

I absolutely love both of the films, they are shot brilliantly and it's one of the few films which managed to depict a first meeting between two people very accurately.

Have seen the rape scene but not this one, if i was to watch this in a cinema im 100% certain i would be sick. The graphicness of the actual scene plus the way the fucking camera swirls around would do it no problem.

McConaughey is the man.

...and I never thought I'd say that.

Got about 3/4 the way through The Avengers and then had to turn it off. It's really, really boring. Which for a big budget action film is not good. Maybe if I cared about the characters I might be interested, but they're all very dull.

Gonna watch the X-Men films for the first time. Should I watch them in order of release, or chronologically?

I'd just like to congratulate myself on deciding to watch There Will Be Blood again for the fifty fifth time this afternoon. An hour in and I'm hard pressed to find a film that comes close to it from the last ten years.

Only the first minute or so of it is used in the film, but it's used absolutely brilliantly.

Agreed. Unbelievably good film. I don't think I've seen a better or more believable acting performance than Daniel Day-Lewis' portrayal of Daniel Plainview.

Went to see Paranormal Activity 4. I think that was a mistake. I've never come out of the cinema so underwhelmed.

For a film series that's billed as "shock, jump, fear" I was left severely disapointed when I didn't feel any fear or was made to jump at all.

There was also some bits of the plot that could be better explained.

Pfft. Hope my next trip to the cinema will be better than this one!

Once a horror movie franchise gets beyond 2, you're better off not watching it.

I don't get why people expect horror films to be any good. It's basically like going up to someone and saying "GO ON, SCARE ME, MAKE ME JUMP."

Watched Beyond the Black Rainbow, which I fell asleep in about halfway through. It was shit up until then.

Then watched Stolen, which I fell asleep in three times. It looked terrible.

Very productive morning/afternoon.

People like to be scared in a safe environment. Like with a rollercoaster.

I personally don't get any enjoyment out of it, but there are a number of horror films that I love for other reasons.
