Enjoyed both, maybe On The Road a bit less

Seen Taken yesterday in the week for the first time, think I'm going to watch Taken 2 tomorrow.

Also seen Captain America today, going through the Marvel ones before Avengers. Doing a load of movies this half term.

Watched The Deal. It was a made for tv movie on Channel 4 about how Tony Blair and Gordon Brown rose to power. Really powerful film and David Morrissey is exceptional as Gordon Brown. I highly recommend it.

Taken 2 was a bit of a dissapointment, just too short, everything felt rushed. Still good film but nothing on the first one.

If you're hardcore, like I am, then watch Hannibal Rising. Double points if you watch it in the cinema, like I did.

Context: my dad fucking loves Hannibal Lecter.

Didn't even see you'd recommended it. I should've watched it sooner tbh.

Soderbergh's quite awesome. I feel like I should watch Contagion.

Yeah, I heard. Had to drop out because of Only God Forgives (which is going to be brilliant.)
Would've been much darker and weirder probably.

I liked Contagion quite a bit. Soderbergh is indeed awesome.

Contagion is very good, probably as good as you could possibly make a realistic viral outbreak film.

Just watched Casino Royale for the first time in a while. Not a huge Bond fan but I think Daniel Craig does him justice.

7/10.

Saw Hobo With A Shotgun last night. Really stupid, really horrible, but I kinda liked it.

Skyfall.

I was slightly underwhelmed coming out of it but now it's kind of sunk in a bit more I really enjoyed it. The narrative is hardly up to much but the character development is really excellent and Javier Bardem is absolutely brilliant in it, he makes the film really.

Went to see it last night, I pretty much agree with you. I didn't think it was particularly thrilling or as exciting as I would have liked, but I really enjoyed the tone, and the story and direction was handled really confidently. And yeah, Javier Bardem was awesome - the film really picked up once he got involved.

I loved it, really really loved it. I'd gladly go watch it again tomorrow.

The film flew past too, I thought 2 and a half hours might have dragged a little but I was never bored. I don't think it's just a great bond film, I think it's just a great film straight up.

Anyone going to see The Master in the UK? Opens on Friday but can't find any local cinema listings for it, hope it's not limited to London or some shit like that.

Wider release in a few weeks I think (hope).
