So, I welcome Shakhtar to the Lane in the first leg, we've sent out Anderlecht with not too many problems in the first knock-outs but it's a tricky draw. Fortunately Chygrynskyi and Fernandinho were out. I wasn't expecting this, quite a nice surprise. Mandatory Kaboul corner header because I'm a cheating bastard.
We move onto the second leg, not anticipating too many problems I send out the fringe players, giving them the old "don't get complacent" just to make sure. It's not like I sent out a fucking youth team, Sow and Rondon cost me a pretty penny, and King/Gallas are hardly cripples (actually I'll give you Ledley on that).
Fifteen minutes in, 0-0, everything seems alright, we're riding our luck a bit but I can doze off, don't really mind losing by one or two. A relief, can rest a bit extra now, everything's going to be fine.
The next thirty minutes saw my team fucking eviscerated. We're fourth in the PL, just off a good 3-1 win at Old Trafford, and suddenly, what is this....? Oh, we're 5-1 down, the defence literally just stands there and let's Shakhtar rain down on them like burly Ukrainian bukkake.
The final result was a comforting defeat. Football Manager - realism since oh five.

Also - oddly, we had a higher possession count in the away game. And Shakhtar scored every single shot on target.
