Watched Skyfall, feels like they rebooted the series again. I enjoyed it, but it doesn't feel like a Bond film any more. Which might not be a bad thing, I can't decide.

The last film I saw was Gattaca. Interesting film, could probably write a really long analysis of the questions it raises and the messages it preaches.

Beautiful soundtrack too:

I need suggestions for films that are about drugs, drug use and/or drug addiction as I am doing a project on how drugs and drug use are depicted in fiction. Any help?

Trainspotting and Fear and Loathing are out of the question as I am reading the books. Only other drug films I can think of are Requiem for a Dream and Spun.

Panic In Needle Park.

(You could also incorporate The Wire in some way, if you hadn't already thought of that)

I'd have loved to, but going through the entirety of it again just to write a little about it for a fairly minor school project would be overkill.

You could focus mainly on Hamsterdam perhaps?

Either way, Panic In Needle Park is a solid view on heroin addiction in 1970s New York.

Have you seen Dredd? Could be used even though it's not a real drug.

Have you seen Blow with Johnny Depp? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0221027/

There's also Basketball Diaries if you have, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112461/

In truth I'd reccommend both.

Was going to also recommend the Basketball Diaries. Great flick, drugs ruined the kid he had it all to look forward to and fucked it.

Argo. Really solid film, I liked pretty much everything about it.

Need to check out Affleck's other two films.

The Town is not good, though Jeremy Renner is.
Gone Baby Gone is good for a watch, especially cus of Amy Ryan.

Saw the Book of Eli for the first time last night. One of the better films of the post-apocalypse genre.

Super good twist at the end, all the weird stuff throughout now makes sense!
