A lot of Skyrim DLC is based on fan feedback.

AC: III. Is it any good? I think it's out now? Anyways, I've got a while off work and was looking to buy some games to see me through, this and Halo 4 are on my list atm,

Not played it myself, but I've heard it takes at least 8 hours of game play before getting your assassins gear and the story is a bit all over the place, it put me off buying it. I'm still playing Borderlands and enjoying it even more on my 2nd run through

Looks epic.

It does, but then again Dawnguard looked a whole lot more epic in the trailer than it actually turned out to be.

The Dragonborn trailer made me go back to playing Skyrim for the first time since the summer. Decided to finish the main quest, hadn't even started it with my character despite being past level 40.

It's worth it just for the shouts tbh.

Once you get the one that means you can lurch forward you might as well give up with it though. I guess Dragonrend is useful enough as well.

Yeah, now that I've had the dragons return I miss not having Dragonrend. This character I am playing with is an archer though, so not having it isn't the end of the world like it would have been with my old spellsword.

They've released some screenshots from Dragonborn now, genuinely looks like they've added lots of new, cool stuff.

I just noticed Tropico 4 was down to £6.20 on Steam and the reviews were generally favourable. So whilst I wait an hour for it to download, has anybody here played it and able to tell me if its any good?

It's supposed to be good according to the reviewers I have as friends but they do packages of the games at times for about the same price

Not played that one but Tropico games are generally good value.

From the time I've had available to play it I can confirm that its quite a bargain. The campaign missions are lengthy and numerous as well as having a sandbox mode and there is plenty of humour in it, you can even make yourself Castro, Che, Pinochet, Peron etc. or create your own guy. So decided to give myself the Alcoholic, Womanizer, Pompous traits, rather than anything useful.

I love Tropico Used to spend hours on the original, I got 3 but didn't bother with 4. The humour is what makes it so enjoyable. That and randomly eliminating my political enemies.

Loving AC3. Still haven't even got my full outfit yet. Noticed a few bugs, but no gamebreakers. Looked inside Achilles house and it was raining inside, and I got attacked by a bear and killed it using the hidden blades, despite not having them yet. Free running in the trees is great fun.

Bought Hitman Absolution. At times the pure sandbox of stealth I love to death. Too often it's a linear evade game. Hitman is about being empowered through your actions. A good Hitman game is one where you don't even know what the story is.

Same feeling I got from it. It feels more Splinter Cell than Hitman to me. Hitman was more here's your job, focus on the job and then later you're like "oh, well fuck" when everything kind of comes to a head. I don't have it myself yet though, only played the first level. I'll pick it up when I get paid I reckon.

From what I've played of Hitman so far I completely agree.

Far too much of the gameplay is either hiding from the police while you escape from somewhere or sneaking into somewhere only to pick up a fuse or something daft.

There are the missions between that though where you are just put on a map somewhere and given a target to kill, which is thoroughly enjoyable. My only issue with that though is the checkpoint system, far too often I get spotted and I restart the checkpoint only to get spotted again really quick because I'm getting frustrated and trying to get to the point where I was before as quickly as possible. I don't see why a simple save and load option isn't available.

Also in the first 30minutes of gameplay I swore Hitman was about to royally rip off Leon.

Cracked out Contracts mode last night. It's fucking outstanding. My faith in the game is fully restored. Both trying to create interesting hits and completing ones that people have made. It's really, really good. Hopefully they put out a DLC pack which is five or so sandbox areas filled with people and things.

That the level where you could kill the fat guy by overheating the sauna?

The level where you could pick up a box of roses which contained a shotgun. The level where you could take out a guy taking a shower just so you could use his silenced Luger. The level where you disguised yourself as a dentist so you could steal back a hand held nuclear device.

Hotel Galar: never forget.

The opera mission in Blood Money is great.
Also the Triad mission in the first one, where you get to pull the Godfather trick.
