An attractive attacking tactic created by Madam, catered for squads with great depth and rotation to make the most of a tight fixture schedule. The tactic provides the team with a generic setup which focuses on a quick tempo game, where long shots are minimised and through balls set up from fast direct passes shine.
Things to be noted before you download
You'll need great depth to your squad. It's a fast paced, aggressive and open tactic which is a bit of midfield condition burner. Suitable for a congested fixture list, the tactic will still need a few things on your end to outdo the rest.
- Target Man, STC, this player will be gifted many one-on-one chances throughout the season. Finishing, composure, off the ball and anticipation are a must to convert the chances into goals.
- Centre backs, note you'll have a limited defender role and a centre back. Your DCL will be the player going up to knock in a few headers whilst your DCR will be holding their strikers hand and will need good physical stats. Adjust to this when picking your defensive line.
- The wingers, will be contributing their fair share of goals too. Your AML will be acting as a forward bringing the ball into a dangerous area often, whilst your AMR will be relying on crosses, well timed passes and general assists for their match rating. Make a note of this if you're players are able to play both left and right sides.
- The opponent's counter attack, will at times be lethal. It's an all guns blazing tactic that will see at times 8 of your 11 players pressed up into their half. Thankfully the ratio of goals to defensive holes is great, but be aware shouts are your best friend against teams with pace who are relying on you to over commit.
- The tactic was created with strong teams in mind, but the feedback received from friends is that the tactic achieves exactly what it was set out to do regardless. Whilst I'm chuft to bits with this news, teams playing such attacking football when they're depending on a defensive setup to survive is a risk I won't be responsible for. ;-]
Quick note on training, match prep & shouts
Not sure how much of the success was down to this but I'll mention it anyway. For training I worked tactics for both week training and match prep at a high intensity until the tactic was accomplished in every department. From there my training would vary to keep everything refreshed on a 2 monthly basis unless something specific was needed, ie, fitness would be the focus when you have 3-4 games in a 10 day spell, cohesion worked when you're advised there's problems for players blending in (usually new signings). Match prep would be attacking movement for home games or ties that should be one-sided, whilst defensive movement was selected for the away games at Man U, Anderlecht, Malaga, PSG. Even Dundee in the cup when fixture congestion gave me zero key players to work with.
Shouts I find myself using all the time. The tactic is very friendly towards them and if you're not seeing what you think you should be seeing definitely jump into this. I've seen various tactics that suggest otherwise, but if you're 1-0 down and your players aren't running into the obvious gaps on the pitch, tell them so!
A breakdown of my success with the tactic
Screenshots uploaded following season's finish. See below.
A fantastic season! I was extremely proud of my youth players for such a dominant SPL display, almost as such as the key players who took Europe by surprise. You'll see the tactic is burying the big name teams at home whilst giving me heart attacks on the return leg. PSG almost took it all away, Malaga ran out of time with 2 late consolidation goals.
As you can see the formation is very generic. The team has great depth with good rotation options. There's a nice blend of experience and inexperience and there's a good balance for both short and tall players. Scottish dominance without this tactic? Probably. Champions league winning team without the tactic? I don't think so.
Team instructions above. What you see is what you get. The team doesn't get much creative freedom other than your AP, IF & TM providing a required balance. I'd suggest not tweaking about this too much, especially the player instructions. The player instructions set up a nice counter attack in itself and there's no need to play the offside trap whatsoever, either, for those who tick these boxes religiously assuming 'why not?'.
#8 manager hall of fame, worldwide reputation and a board of directors spamming me with pay rises. Nay too shabby for a first season. Shame I haven't renewed my contract with them. Bring on the challenge of the K League, Jeonbuk here we come!
On a final note
If the tactic works out for you please, please come to me with your feedback. This is my first release and a bit of praise and suggestion will go a long way to persuading me to put the time into another tactic.
Secondly, you aren't permitted to re-upload this anywhere else. If you wish to put it on your website send me a private message. The reason so many good 'tacticians' stopped releasing their work is from the sheer volume of people renaming their downloads and passing it as their own. Please don't do this!
Lastly, for all its worth, enjoy it!

If so did you have to make any tweaks/adjustments the longer you played with it to keep it's effectiveness?

I have just completed the first season. See the updated screenshots and updated topic for how it went.
Whilst I'd made the tactic for the stronger teams in mind I've heard from various people and their successes with it as not so fortunate teams. You'll have to let me know how it plays out, but as mentioned in the first post, it's such an all guns blazing; attacking tactic. Hopefully your back four are up to it and please do let me know how it goes.

I think the key is to have a striker with good pace, acceleration, off the ball, anticipation and finishing. Agility helps too.
Good tactic. Top of premier, 3 pts clear so far. Still testing.

Ah the dreaded first complaint!
Can you upload your save game so I can take a look over your past games for you? Even with West Ham and playing such an attacking strategy you shouldn't be getting anything close to those results.

By now I've played 5 games. Won 4 and lost 1 (away from Botafogo). The lads are making large amount of scoring possibilities but they have issues with finishing. I have also noticed that the amount of long shots is a bit low, so I will work on these two things.

Nice to see people are playing about with it to suit their lineup. Bare in mind your striker should have decent finishing, composure, off the ball & anticipation. Not sure why your wingers aren't netting them too though. The amount of chances compared to converted ratio is extremely high on FM13, btw, having 20 shots on target with 2 goals is pretty standard sadly.
Hi mate. My Documents > Sports Interactive > FM2013 > games > yourfilesave.fm.
I'm not sure how fluid your players are with the tactic or how you use training, shouts or morale boots like team talks/team or player chats/press conferences, but even if you ignored all those it shouldn't produce such poor results. I'd like to look over some of your games to see if you need to make any obvious changes with you being a team not expected of anything, hopefully it'll help me as much as you.

A tactic which can give you astonishing results and very balanced attacking play .

Would this tactic be effective if you dropped one of the CM's into CDM for protection for the back 4?
I have strong CDM's in my team that I don't want to waste!
Thanks

seems too attacking to use on my braintree save though.
