It's quite sad seeing United not being in the CL and signing World Class players whereas Danny Welbeck is probably our best available transfer solution.

When we needed a striker we went out and signed a world class one, Alexis Sanchez. Its not like we knew Giroud would get injured for so long and i don't really expect us to sign anyone if i'm honest. Still have Walcott, Sanchez, Podolski and Sanogo who can play upfront so i can't see us paying £16m just to cover someone for 3 months. Our priority should be strengthening the defensive side of things.

As for Di Maria, i really can't see it working out for some reason unless the move gives the players a kick up the arse like Ozil to us did.

Michael Dawson is off to Hull. Been a great captain and servant for us since we signed him in 2005. Shame to see him go but I can understand it with our new style of play, need our defenders to have a little bit of pace with the high line. Deserved more than 4 caps although injuries didn't help much.

Not wishing to kick United fans when their down but Vidal's agent's in Milan at the moment (met with Inter to discuss something to do with Medal's move/contract) and confirmed there's been no contact from United since the World Cup.

I think we will make a bid for him soon though, there's definitely been contact, Vidal has had so many opportunities to say something and has avoided declaring his future when asked. Sneijder in 2010 was bad enough, this saga has surpassed it.

Xabi Alonso is off to Bayern, apparently. Only seen one source though.
