How much is a ST at Newcastle, if you don't mind me asking?

Cheapest is £365 but most are £578 (behind the goals) or £710 (along the sides).

Your cheapest is the same as our dearest, although ours is the same price wherever. £710 is a fucking lot of money for them to charge! I wouldn't bloody renew for that price when none of it is seemingly going back into the team.

Pardew has apparently got the lead in getting Cabaye to join Palace.

Great. Can't wait for the two to grab six points off us and get lolz from everyone else.

Pre-season starts tomorrow, no coaching staff in yet.

What a joke.

Aside from the Coaching staff, aye.

I'm waiting to renew to see if I'm going to have to go and suffer the delights of Ameobi and Williamson on a weekly basis.

AKA Gloryseeking

I fucking hope ST sales are down. The atmosphere is so much better when all the fairweather fickle fans fuck off. A lot of the boycotters seem to forget 36'000 to see our first Championship game, and only 43'000 back for the first Premier League game. 42'000 for the game against Fulham in the season when we finished fifth.

Almost as if these people only come out of the woodwork when Newcastle are winning....

Not glory seeking - wouldn't have chosen Newcastle as the team I support if I was a glory seeker.

Just don't want to spend a hell of a lot of money when the board aren't trying to entertain me.

There's also no confirmation on the official site of our assistant manager never mind our coaching staff.

Disgracefully ran, without a care in the world for our fans.

I thought the consensus of that Fulham game in the 5th place season was that there was no atmosphere.

In any case it is pretty ridiculous the new coaching staff have effectively confirmed themselves. Additionally, is Sammy Ameobi still our player? There's no word on whether or not he signed his new contract.

He must have signed a new deal and I've read somewhere he could be heading to Wolves on loan.

What are you actually talking about? Do you genuinely think that the removal of Carver and Stone is going to plunge Newcastle into crisis?

Newcastle appoint a genuinely world class coach and appoint another with excellent write ups and you're moaning because the official website hasn't run a news item on it?

Its a bit weird that there's no confirmation and also no pics of the new guys at the start of pre-season training today. I'm not annoyed, but its a very curious and slightly confusing scenario. But then this daft bastard club makes no fucking sense, so at least its normal. Least we know he's on board.

Speaking of pre-season training beginning, our training wear looks shit. I swear Puma's kit designers get worse every year.

It also seems odd that we only had our first known transfer meeting today. While I am aware that this time last year, we'd only bought 2 players, most clubs get the transfer work running a lot earlier, and it's not entirely a great omen. I'm not suggesting we need to be like Liverpool and buy 7 players before the Americans get their fireworks out, but it'd be nice if we were making more of an effort, or at least being seen as making more of one.

Leave for America for 'team building' in a week isn't it?

Need CB, LB, DM, W and 2xST and maybe plus backup players by then

Not. A. Chance.

If you genuinely can't see the difference between the Oystons and Newcastle then you are a fucking complete moron. Seriously. The Oyston's have taken millions out of the club and are clearly using it to solely benefit themselves. But yeah obviously suing the fans is equatable to not making any signings by the first week of July.....

Haha how can a Newcastle fan get called a glory seeker?

Being more interested in a club when they're doing well is Gloryseeking. No where to be seen when the club is doing badly. Then they're out of the woodwork, die hard fans who'd never miss a game.

Rather than being incredibly fickle all the time. Santon was shite when we had him, then suddenly a great defender the minute he leaves, likewise MYM. I remember you slating him when he actually played. You wanted to sell Cabaye and replace him with James McCarthy, then have complained non-stop about a lack of creativity. You insisted that Keegan bottled it.

People still insist Pardew is a terrible manager who hates wingers in spite of the past 6 months. People stiill insist HBA is a great player, when he can't get a game for Hull. People still insist Cabaye hates Pardew, despite saying he wants to play for him again.

And yes, Newcastle have appointed Simpson, Cathro, Black and Schoenmaker - the same guys who had basically been confirmed for the past couple of weeks.

Never said Santon was a great defender - not MYM - just they're better than what we have - which is utter shite.

Pardew is a terrible manager, he's useful at playing 4-4-2 and getting the best out of average players - give him good players and he hasn't got a clue though. He done well with Ba and Cabaye despite his best attempts (playing Ba left wing, Cabaye behind the strikers)

And yeah, I seen the email communication. Unsure why they can't just announce it like a normal club and try and garner some momentum

I know you lot are desperate for some kind of success, but "doing well" doesn't count as glory. Glory seeking is following a team because they are winning trophies. Not turning up to a game because you think it will be shit is just fairweather supporting.

Not even that, I just don't know if I want to prioritise spending money on something when they're actively trying to not entertain - which is my primary motivation for going.

I'll still watch it in the pub or something.

I don't blame you. Probably difficult to hand over cash to a club that makes no effort to repay its supporters.

If we accept that football is entertainment, then surely you want more for your money than apathy, agitation and about 20304085 SportsDirect ads.

Speaking of money spent by fans, the club has said that the SUFC friendly is £10 for ST holders and £15 for non-ST members. And £35+15 for those of us not club members, seeing as that policy is still in force after being given a one-off lift for the Gateshead game. What a fucking jip.

As for the coaching staff, it is a bit weird it took an e-mail the day after pre-season training began to get confirmation. Most clubs would have already confirmed it and settled the bewilderment. Not that it helps McClaren said he was riding solo for the first two and a half weeks.

Meanwhile, I saw the rumour we turned down the chance to loan Mario Balotelli. Much as we're all annoyed about the lack of transfer activity, we probably dodged a bullet there.

Newcastle are run in the same way as Spurs yee kna. Same way as Southampton and Swansea too. Fun fact Spurs have actually spent more than Newcastle once in the past five years too.

But at least at Spurs you have the lovely knowledge of giving your money to a tax exile, who made his money out of selling out the British Public.

Don't worry not long until we're all calling Wenger a senile fool, who has to go. And only 9 months until we're discussing how 'if only the season started a bit later Arsenal would be Champions' and the classic banter of the Gunnersaurus.
