I don't think he actually meant to hurt Coquelin but he's studded him on the shin and was certainly worthy of a red. The way Newcastle are fouling us it might not be the only red card we see.

Seeing as Sissoko got yellow for the same offence earlier in the game, I'm not entirely convinced.

That was a stamp on the foot though, Mitrovic was a lot higher.

Yeah it was completely accidental, he was just stretching for the ball after a bad touch. But yeah it caught him in a horrible area so it had to be a red really.

True. Even if it took me a while to register it given the shite resolution of my stream. I'm not entirely convinced it was a red, but I sense any appeal is going to be met with a near-instant "Nope", even if it wasn't intentional. Certainly not like that foul on Targett against Southampton on his debut.

We're really doing our best to collect red cards. Reminds me of my FM10 save.

Mbemba got a yellow for pretty much the exact same challenge as what Monreal just did there. Hardly gonna help the crowd

Those of you here are fine, though Shola's a bit weird. Imo though the red card helped as we had no space after it due to Newcastle sitting back because of having a player less. Before that it was much more open and we always look far more dangerous when we're able to play on the counter rather than just pass from side to side.
