FM15 is awful - General Discussion - FM24/25 Update

Not sure if this is the right place to talk about this but this year the game is trash. Unplayable. Rage inducing. I can totally understand the game is down to tactics, heavily if so, but think about it, maybe some FM fans bought it to play it in free time, people do not have free time to study this game from 0.
And even if the tactics are understood, they're just not working at all. I read tons of guides on SI Forums for nothing. The game is just crap. I took over Man City, they were 14th basically with the same crop of players as in the start of the game and I create a decent tactic. Guess what happens, drew away at Brighton and lost at home against Hull. Can't even think what would have happened if I was actually managing one of those lower standard teams. I would have been trashed by the mighty City, most definitely.
Another experience, West Ham, get destroyed by City 0-5, then at home against Arsenal 1-4. My players can't fucking score at all even if I beg them. Too many ridiculous set piece goals. Too many ridiculous clumsy players.
The last experience today was with Arsenal. I downloaded a Tycoon save game but I noticed the player managed Arsenal and basically bought the best players around. So I thought well I should give this a go. The team was undefeated, guess what happens. First match, first loss. Against Spurs, who were like midtable. Can't say that the next match I drew with a Championship side in FA Cup just lol. It's like you tell me right now if a manager uses tactical tweaks to exploit a bigger side's weaknesses, he will win that match. Like if Leeds manager is a tactical genius, he will be able to beat the likes of City. It's hilarious.

Erm.... I've won 17 trophy's in 4 seasons with Man City, I think the problem is with you not the game.

I do love these posts. FM is as hard as you want to make it and that is also true for how easy you want to make it. Simple fact is you are not doing it right. Most who play the game get good success. Down to you I am afraid.

I agree. Although i won't ever play FMC as i believe it to be scripted around the addons you can buy. That could just be in my experience though.

Oh yea, I don't play FMC, play the full fat version and that is it.

Don't read the shite on SI, they're pie chart making, fosters drinking, Twitter love festing, man-girls.

Get your tactics together and run with that shit. Apply your own beliefs and work with the FM tactical system till something comes together, just be patient with it. Experience is key, just keep trying and trying.

FM14 I had little luck tactically, took me months to hit my stride. FM15 I nailed it from the off and I've used the same tactic ever since for about 80 seasons of total play time across three different careers.

I understand the frustration there is a way to play somewhat half assed and still be quite successful send me a message and I'll reply with some strategies I have discovered. I'm certain you will enjoy the game again.

I think users like this would like the game if you used a pre-made tactic from one of the forum tacticians. you will succeed with good results if nothing else.

You're crap. It's not a decent tactic if you're losing at home to Hull or drawing to Brighton. You're a classic case of a colour blind person declaring that red and green don't exist, it does, you just can't recognise it.

I think Cleon, THoG and Rashidi over there are exceptional tactics writers. Some of the mods there have their heads up their arses though.

Keep trying new games, if you're like me eventually one will get you hooked. Granted that also involves a few kickings...

I tell you what, this game is so unrealistic!!!

I have just played as Liverpool and had 60% of the possession with 47 shots on goal to their 5!!!

and it was 1-1!
