Fuck me our finishing has been atrocious, Martial should have won it.

Penalties it is.

English players suck at penalties. Hopefully for England they won't go down to penalties next summer.

You'd imagine Stoke and City will get through, the other two could go either way.

First of all, well done to Boro. They were better than I thought they'd be. Secondly, Louis needs to make up with Valdes incase De Gea gets a long-term injury because Romero was giving everyone a heart attack, did make a good stop at the end of ninety minutes though. Lastly, really starting to think Louis is holding us back somewhat. There's no excitement or creativity when we've got the ball and it all just seems much too regimented, there's no freedom of any kind for any of the players. It's awful to watch. He takes the fun out of football.

City's cup to lose now.

It's just the problem we've struggled with since LVG has got here of not being able to break teams down who park the bus not helped by some poor finishing, shitty refereeing (although we'd have missed both penalties anyway) and poor performances. Reminded me of that Portsmouth FA Cup tie years back when they knocked us out.

Also on the back of another poor Rooney performance I thought he's antics were shocking last night. Came on at half time and basically pulled Carrick's arm off to get the armband, didn't look arsed even when he missed his penalty and then refused to do his duties as captain after the game and made Mike Smalling do the interview with MUFC

No point in keeping the ball for 60-70% of the game if you do fuck all with it. We were lucky against CSKA away, in the sense they were happy with 1-0 and didn't really go after us in the second half. Had City had Silva and Aguero I doubt we'd have got the point at home and now losing against Boro like. Throw in the fact we spent a fortune on Falcao and Di Maria and got very few good games out of them and the fact Van Gaal has a hard on for Fellaini I'm kind of over him. We'll probably make the top four again, but only because Liverpool and Chelsea are going through tough periods.

Comfortable 5-1 win for us last night. Great to see a few kids make appearances, Iheanacho in particular was brilliant, scored one and set-up two, he looks like a great player in the making.

Of all the weird criticisms levelled against LVG recently these are some of the weirdest. Fellaini's literally barely played, the only game he's started apart from the Carling cup ones was against Liverpool when Rooney was injured.

Jesus Christ though, the moaning is doing my head in at the minute. We're two points off the top have played every 'big' team apart from Chelsea to then blame LVG for some of the other things is ridiculous, its obvious that Di Maria was a little bitch who couldn't be arsed and Falcao is spending another season proving how done he is. When thats coupled with the fact that Van Persie was also washed up last season and all the signs are that Rooney may well be finished at the top level, too, is it any surprise we don't have an attack firing all cylinders? We made the decision (or probably were forced into it by the lack of availability of top talent last summer) to invest in youth up front. If Memphis had hit the ground running as quickly as Martial we'd be infinitely better off, the lack of patience though, is staggering.

It's Amazing, I doubted he would come to us when we lost Rodgers, thought it would of been too early! But boy I'm glad I was wrong! This is such an exciting period for Liverpool!3-1 against Chelsea, 4-1 against city and now 5-1 against Southampton despite being behind in the first minute!

6-1. Away from home, at Southampton. I'm not watching, but either Southampton are really shit or Klopp is doing wonders at Liverpool. I fear the latter.

A brilliant replacement for Rodgers, he's brought in so much positivity and belief to his team. Rodgers was the complete opposite. Fantastic result tonight.

Didn't think it did plus it was going in anyway, if he does touch it it's the slightest touch and Stekelenburg fucks up either way

I'm not just talking about this season and you know that. Last season Fellaini was his go to plan, his plan B if you'd like to call it that. We're extremely boring and slow under LVG, that's not just the players being out of form or not playing or coming towards the end of their best years (Rooney). Honestly I don't care if we're two points off top, because the luck will run out, we won't win the league this season. We're in very real danger of being knocked out of the Champions League in a group that we should have realistically qualified from with ease. He's annoyed players and made some very unusual decisions. We need a striker and instead of taking a chance with James Wilson sends him out on loan. Adnan Januzaj has been doing quite well for Dortmund, but not good enough for us. The treatment of Victor Valdes is also ridiculous. I do actually worry that when LVG leaves the new manager will struggle to break the shackles currently imposed on the team.

I didn't actually think he got a touch, thought Origi just moved out of the way.
